Lasted 11 hours yesterday. Batteries
Put on my ancient Phonak. 9 years old. New batteries. Domes. Not even set right. New back in 2017?The previous audiologist set them up in 2021.

It’s time. I’m not going to write more.

If I was you Dave, I would have taken the plunge, and bought a new set of aids, yonks ago, life is too short to live with frustration!!! If you can afford them, buy them… I don’t worry about costs, I am pretty frugal when it comes to saving though, fortunately, I am good at saving money, and I sometimes amaze myself how much I can save in a relatively short time frame… I set myself a target, and just go for it! Strange as it may seem, once I spend the money, my next target is to replenish the savings, and I feel as if I actually got whatever I spent “for free”, once this is accomplished, well that’s what I tell myself :upside_down_face: Cheers Kev :wink:

Kev I hear you.

Way back I had a couple of things happen. I had an investment councillor who turned out to be a crook. That’s first. Second I lost a job 9 -1/2 years. No pension. The crook took the money.

So I worked til May in my 80th year.

I have a wonderful hearing aid supplier with unique experience.

My brand new Paradise ha didn’t work. I told my dispensing Audi I thought it was something simple. He did me a favour He set up my 3 year old workman’s comp aids as back up. I said they worked better than my Paradise aids. He asked me to come back on Friday. There’s more. He said I needed to find someone who could help me more than he could. There’s no point in providing more. But it was nasty.

I have no interest in getting into a dispute with him.

I’m really grateful for the work done, skill and experience working with my new provider. I’ve been in their care for 3 years

We are all different Dave, and our priorities are different, I except that! Nowadays my priorities have changed, I don’t worry whether I can hear someone or not, I don’t bat an eyelid over it, in fact, sometimes I can’t be bothered listening to the world, so I revert to my own little bubble and leave my hearing aids out, if my wife wishes to communicate she just “Signs” to me! I don’t need to hear on the TV or internet either, as invariably I watch sports, so no actual commentary is necessary, occasionally I will listen, if it is someone of interest, but most times the volume is on the off position! Yesterday my hearing aids had 25% battery life left after 14 hours of use. Great. I had been in auto send the whole time.

I believe the day before my better half had said I couldn’t hear, and ENCOURAGED me to change my ha program. I did.

That’s what killed the batteries.
