I recently got phonak hearing aids. Initially I had a length 2 cord but noticed the aids were slightly coming out of position(not falling out but just not as deep in ear as they should have been). The audiologist changed to a length 3 cord and also added a retention tail. The length 2 had the unit sitting right up at the top of the ear and slight cord marks on the ear (but not painful at all). The length 3 either has the cord sitting above the ear (a gap) or the aid sitting in the position shown when the cord sits flush with skin.
I’m not sure if the cord length change was needed or just the retention tail at the end of the day. Thoughts on this position?
