Had my Phonak Audeo Paradise P90R’s for 5 years
3 pairs of Phonak

I’m liking the Enzo’s. Waiting room was full when I left. They didn’t book enough time

Feeling? Overwhelmed. Need a manual. Videos too.

Like the Resound inserts.

Keeping notes.

Do I have ?

Need more volume. I won’t get it for 60 days. I want it today.

Need to know how to switch programs without using my Apple 13 iphone

I don’t like APPS and iPhones constantly in use. Gotta fix that.

I’m enjoying . IM enjoying they work better with Apple

I’m overwhelmed. I’m overtired. Listening fatigue?

I’m already glad I switched.

Good, You got them! As you know it will take a little while to get adjusted to wearing them. Briefly press the round button on top of the aid to change programs. I really like my Jabra version of these aids. I put a reminder on my phone to change the mic filters every 3 months. I really like my transmitter for the TV. It's great hearing in stereo for a change!

This aid does not have , but it does have changeable microphone filters

The manual can be found on the Resound website at this link2. The manual is at the bottom of the page.

Volume can be adjusted using the button on the aid (note the aids will switch back to the level set by your audiologist each term you restart the aids) - details in the manual.

Programs can be switched using other button on aid. The programs available will depend on what has been activated by your Audiologist.

I find the All-Around program fine for most situations but do use the Hear in Noise & Outdoor programs from time to time.

I note you are not keen on using your Phone App for controlling the phone but I would recommend having a go as it it has some other features which can be useful and can not be activated using the buttons on the aids.

I’m old. 79. I don’t recall if he showed me how to change programs using buttons on the aids.

He didn’t set the aids up so I could answer phone calls tapping on the hearing aid. If he did, I don’t rember how

I had to buy a new iPhone so I’m learning there two

Just took a walk with wife and our two dogs. I was overcome by noise. Flight path of Toronto Airport.

Tap control is normally enabled automatically. Just need to have the aids paired with your phone. If you can app on your phone works, then you are paired. If the aids aren't paired, then the app will take you through the process. If you are not comfortable with apps and tech, just find a friend/family member, who is they don't need any particular expertise in hearing aids. (Tap control can be turned off in the app, whilst it is a clever feature in reality, I rarely use it)

I found my aids a little overwhelming and too loud at first, but this settled down after 2/3 weeks so given you are on day 1 don't worry about this too much. I would recommend keeping notes of any issues you do have and taking this with on your next visit to your audiologist.

My aids aren't perfect but as someone who has had lifelong severe/profound hearing loss I can say that they are the best sets of aids I had in over 50 years.

I appreciate your comment about them being the best you have had. I’m very positive but I’m just getting started.

I’ve had lots of health issues in the last couple of years. My Paradise P90Rsdrive me nuts. I won’t go on. I’m so happy I have the ENZOs.

Your post is extremely important to me.

One of the most stressful experiences I had was getting new hearing aids from Peel Audiology. I had used my previous hearing aids for 8 years, at their insistence. I had the PA hearing aids for two years.

I worked in construction and had 3 very close calls with diesel equipment overtaking me. I didn’t even know they were there.

I wish I had changed to ReSound back then. .

Agreed! Mine are also the best I have had and I've been wearing aids for 58 years. The one thing that bugged me was the number of beeps which plays after taking them out of the charger. I think the beeps are to give us time to get our aids in without the aids producing a squeal. I had my fitter reduce the number of beeps from 11 down to the minimum of 5. Still, I can insert my aids in the morning so fast that I hear a few of the beeps.

I’m having trouble finding my way around the forum. So there’s no continuity in my posts

I saw my Fitter yesterday afternoon.

They made changes. Now I can’t hear as well his son is a Fitter too. His recommendation is to replace the left earpiece-moulded insert with a new one. Here in Canada that may take a month.

Before that I saved a FAVOURITE

it’s based on the all around program. I used the speech enhancer. Then I reduced mid and high frequencies in the enhancer. Saved it. Called it Feedback 1 out of spite

I used it all today with no feedback.

I’m going to pin their feet to the floor until they’ve solved my problem.

My wife says I can’t hear. So I need to fix that.

Yesterday was my 80th birthday.

Way back. My dispensing fitter for my Audeo Paradise P 90Rs said I should find someone who could help me more than he could He had erased my hearing aids and did a first fit. I found my current specialist 3 months later.

My wife feels the same as you do.

Before I went in I saved the All Around program. I used the speech enhancer After experimenting I found that an an increase of 1 notch in mid and high frequencies had no feedback. Saved that as a Favourite.

I’ve used it two days, feedback is gone

I’m very grateful that Bob took me on. The ENZO iA were perfect the first few weeks after I got them. I like these hearing aids much better than the Phonaks I had

I took a while going in. I thought my problem was caused by pulling the tube off the hearing aid.

When I couldn’t fix it I made an appointment and they took me right in.

I can’t drive anymore. Gettin old ain’t easy
