I’m frustrated

I’m spending time getting nowhere on the new forum.

once I’m on I see there are 60 unread responses for my brand new hearing aids. So I look

Darn. I see all the posts I read before. I scroll and scroll and give up.

I’ve done this too many times.

Remedy? Ask ai.

Is there a way to setup better?

I like notifications

BUT

I’d like to start my reading with the first post unread post, and then the remaining unread posts if I choose.

Scrolling down long topics can be slow and annoying. But (if you're on desktop) long-enough topics have a "quick scroll" on the right. Drag that slider down and you'll be at the bottom in no time.

Not sure if this will help you but if you have a lot of replies there should be a slider on the right. At the bottom of the slider there is a button option to click on and it brings you to the most recent reply. Then you can jusr scroll up to see the others.

I'm on mobile.

Doesn't matter if I use Brave or Firefox.

I do not have the slider. I think I had it at one point.

What Dave is saying I think, is that unlike the old forum if there are no new replies it will start from the original post. The old forum would always pick up from the last post you read.

It seems like our “viewed” status went back a week or something. Topics I know I’ve read completely marked unread and start from the top. A bit discouraging. Lots to miss about the old site, but I gotta say no complaints about the speed on the new site.

I'm still working on it. Don't worry I'll bring back things as you guys help me understand what's missing! Sorry I didn't get everything right the first time. Hang in there, and keep letting me know what I can build to make it better.

I'm going to try and figure out this issue with you not getting to the most recent unread... When I click from the Latest tab it always takes me to the oldest post that I haven't read. So, this must be happening from elsewhere. Or, potentially read status isn't being tracked properly somehow for you guys.

Also, the good news is we have a much more solid software foundation in the new forum. Now it's just tweaking to deliver on everyone's expectations or wants.

I get the blue notification for on Avatar.

Tap it and it goes to notifications.

Tap that and it brings me to my comment.

It does not get rid of the notification dot.

It was a lot simpler on the old forum.

Hearing aids are way better than my Paradise P90 R aids. I’m learning slowly. I pulled the ear tube off the left one.

I’ll crazy glue the tube to the hearing aid. Just kidding. Maybe
