Looking for some advise on these, I currently have the Phonak i90 ultra and have had them for over a year and I am not a fan of the sound processing, I was born with inner ear issues and do not have a right ear drum and I hole in my left. I have so many surgeries on both ears that I now have really bad scare tissue within the inner ear. All that being said I am extremely sensitive to sound noise and higher pitched frequencies are painful I think that is why I cannot get the Phonaks dialed in. I feel like they have a very bright digital sound. I have heard that Signia has a very easy natural sound? my suggested I look at the new Omega A+ or Widex she said she has not fitted Signa much so not much advise on these.

Have you exhausted all otological surgical treatment options? This is the basis of treatment.

Perhaps you should be evaluated towards bone conduction devices, but I'm not sure.

My wife is getting these on Friday, 16th. It's her first time for hearing aids and she liked how the demo set sounded in the office. Our benefit for her leaves the cost at only $700. for the pair of the high end versions. Her hearing lost is moderate and not as bad as mine so it will be interesting to see how things go for her. They will tune with real ear tweaks on Friday. My benefit next year (had to get a new medicare advantage) should get me a pair for $500. so looking forward to that. I have the Widex SmartRic that will be 3 years old in June. Great for guitar playing but not the best in noise and I always have some issues with my own voice boominess bothering me so maybe the and own voice processing will help a bit with that for me.

Interesting facts:

  • Even though Signia has dropped and from these devices it retains an Apple Watch App, although controls are limited to volume and viewing battery.
  • There is no available for these devices.
  • They didn't score well in hearadvisor's testing, but it may be that this simply isn't specific enough to test for the benefits of real-time conversation enhancement (3 adaptive independent narrow beams with denoising applied individually to each beam focused on each talker).

A member posted in October 2027 problems connecting more than one bluetooth device to the new MaX.

I have older Signia Pure Charge & Go with no problems having 3 bluetooth connected & working at once.

So my wife has the MaX 7 now and so far so good although complaining about hearing white noise now, lol. First time user. I won't get mine until next year. I did try the Rexton from Costco as my first hearing aid and did not like the sound which to be sounded processed and like thru a cheap tinny speaker so went to the Philips and the Widex SmartRIC was a huge improvement over both of those. I have 60 days to switch from the Signia to something like the Allure but will always keep my Widex for guitar playing for now.

I've also made the decision to go for the Signia Max. (getting them in two days.) I was happy with my 3 year-old AX aids until my hearing worsened further and one of the aids effectively went silent. Still, I decided to go with Signia again because, until the problem arose, I really enjoyed the sound quality, especially for music. I don't believe in miracles but I'm hoping for somewhat better hearing in group situations and listening to music. Time will tell.
