You have my empathy!! If you don't have backup aids, it can be really stressful! I have two pairs of Phonak Lumity Life rechargeables and two pairs of Phonak Lumity Life 312s - how's that for redundancy, but with my hearing loss, I simply HAVE to have a device for any hope of communication.
That said, every year, one of these aids fails for whatever reason. I take it in to my audiologist and she sends it out that night via whatever carrier they use. It takes a good 3-4 weeks for the device to be repaired, returned and my schedule to sync up with my audiologist's to pick them up. Yes, nearly FOREVER. I live here in the USA - major metropolitan location, and I honestly don't know where my broken aids are shipped to. Probably worth my asking just to keep my expectations real.
DO have an IDENTICAL (not older version, outdated!) pair of aids if you need to hear 24x7. I learned years ago that dammit, I'm worth it. That is what I splurge on, so both pairs are set up identically, can be swapped in immediately, and life has not even a pimple of rude transition until the broken aids come back. All my aids work with the Roger device for TV streaming and are paired/connected to my Android phone. It's about as seamless a process as one can get.
