I get a hissing when a low level fan runs on my computer or anywhere in my house. The noise filter really reduces it.
Does any setting in the 3D app reduce the hiss?

Iv been doing the settings myself and messaging around with them they are not amplifiying sounds properly and a constant low hissing sound but sound is good when im streaming music through them im guessing there is something wrong with the microphone

I can’t see your however I really struggle to find hearing aids where I can’t hear the hearing aid working as my high level hearing is so good many gave me a constant hissing sound and we worked out it was probably me hearing the aid itself.

A low hissing sound can sometimes come from the hearing device itself, but it’s worth checking the basics first. Try lowering the volume, reseating the device, and testing in a different environment. If the hiss is still there consistently, an audiologist or the manufacturer should be able to check whether it’s a device or fitting issue.

Well iv been doing the settings in smartfit for the last few months and for the last 3 o 4 weeks they was perfect but it just happened last weekend I was working out the ear just went dull all of a sudden music streaming was fine but as a hearing aid not iv cleaned it myself also used the perfect lux dryer but still nowhere near the amplification it was and constant low hissing sound iv reset them tried different settings even change the target rule also got a new receiver for it still the same

I suspect what you have is a damp-damaged microphone. This is a common problem with the Nexia and late model Nexias solved the problem with a different case/microphone protection approach (which they now use on the Vivia too).
Basically I think that Nexia aid is going to need a service back with GN Resound.

Iv sent them in for repair I just want to know what I can do to stop this from happening again iv got the perfect dry lux and use those little brushes 🤷♂️

IF you think it's an issue of built up dirt, Jodi Vacs are an option. I don't use them but others have been pleased.

It’s not likely to be built up dirt, but it is very likely to be damage to a microphone from sweat. This is a specific issue with Nexia, which was much worse that Omnia. But Resound fixed it with Vivia and trickled down the changes back to later Nexia. It will be interesting to know what comes back from Resound.

Interesting. That could explain introducing possibility to change mic filters with Vivia.
