Phonak speaker wire/receiver sealed inside custom mold, is this permanent?

With Oticon custom molds I can use a tool to remove the receiver/speaker from the custom mold.

Here’s a picture of custom molds for Phonak Q90s. The custom molds are permanently sealed right?
Is there any way to remove the receiver/speaker from the custom mold? I don’t think so.

Just to add a bit of clarity here, the user can be temporarily swapped to a standard power receiver if the moulded receiver needs servicing, which would mean a slight loss of power, but you wouldn’t be left high and dry during the turnaround period.

Yes, I meant if the receiver goes out, you cant swap out that particular receiver (like you can with some of the others, taking off the cover plate and unscrewing the metal plate locking it in place), but you could obviously swap it out with a stock receiver.

Anyone curious about what’s inside of these? The case is very brittle. You can snap off pieces with a screwdriver. You can use cutter pliers or needle nose pliers to lop off sections. Nothing salvageable inside.

The receivers are very different from the normal Standard/Power receivers. I can’t even tell what power they are. Inside the mold, the speaker wire converts into two very small/very thin wires. The receiver itself is isolated inside a foam cushion and it has a short white extension tube on the end. There! Not curious anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:
