Do any of you K6 users have their programming set up so that one of the presets turns the bluetooth off?
If I have my hearing aides bluetoothed to my iPhone when I’m in my Ford Edge, an incoming call will ring into my hearing aides and will not be offered up to Ford’s Sync until I press the answer button on the iPhone 5S’s display. If I disable the K6s (by opening the battery compartment), an incoming call will go directly to the Ford’s Sync function and I can answer the call without touching the iPhone. The later is the functionality that I’d prefer and that is why I’d like to be able to turn the K6’s bluetooth on/off.
I have an appointment Thursday evening at Costco to get the firmware updated in my K6s. (Since upgrading to iOS 9.2, pressing the home button 3 times does not bring up the K6s control screen on my phone as it did before updating the iPhone’s operating system.) Hopefully the Tech will also be able to give me the ability to turn bluetooth on or off. I’ll report back on how well it goes at Costco.
I’m in a 2011 Toyota RAV4 with an aftermarket Alpine made for iPhone stereo. It’s not Car Play nor strictly iPhone, but is 100% iPhone compatible. When a call comes in when I’m in my car, it goes straight to the Alpine, not my KS6 aids. Pushing the Phone button on the Alpine head unit takes me right to Siri and full voice control, including telling her what to play, asking her questions, and even having a conversation with her
My only negative is that playing iPhone music streams into my aids as well as over the speakers, though unusually so the phone calls and Siri do not? I would think it would all stream, though I’m happy the two do not. Turning off the streaming to the aids seems to disable the iPhone music going Bluetooth into the stereo. Go figure.
