Look, I don’t want to seem like I’m picking on your posts here as you’re an experienced poster, but have a think before posting stuff like the above and the incessant Widex plugging due to their Audibility Extender. It’s really easy to establish fallacies in the minds of the people who are looking for advice on here - this sort of stuff will make them look foolish in front of their Audiologist.
Not to worry, I don’t have a problem picking on it. I read that post this morning and wondered if anyone would address it before I had time to get to it. Glad to see someone other than me flabbergasted at the asinine things that this guy writes. Let’s take a look.
you will have to clean your aids before and after you wear them. I suspect many on this forum are stating that they are but really they can’t be bothered with cleaning their aids.
There you have it folks. doubledown has examined your posts and is led to suspect that many of you are liars who say they clean their equipment but really don’t. He knows if you’ve been bad or good so be good for goodness sake! Shame on you morally suspect individuals who do this sort of thing. You know who you are and its time you not only clean your aids but clean up your act as well!!
wax is a lubricant. it’s also filled with viruses and germs that will inflame your ear canal wall ensuring an improper fit.
Whatever was God thinking when he put it there? Surely any modern day inorganic synthetic lubricant would have been a better choice.
I suspect many audis are not properly keeping the aids clean before giving them back to the users.
AH ! It’s not just the morally deficient non-cleaners that fall under the all seeing eye of DD. Do you professionals know nothing about maintaining a sanitary environment? Do you wash your hands after using the rest room? Hmmmmm?
some have posted that the audi mixed the left and right ears.
C’mon all you audis. R in Red is for R in Right. No no, your OTHER right. Sheesh!
hearing aids do not help in large group conversation or meetings. they do not help at the movies. they do not work at concerts.
Oh no I am lost; the ground I [thought] I was standing on is collapsing beneath me. Is there a psychologist in the house? I was sure that my instruments were of considerable help in each of the above situations. I’m obviously wrong and all that help I thought I was getting must be nothing more than a figment of my imagination. Just the cognitive fantasies of a deluded user. Woe is me.
If you ever watch anybody film anything ever in your life you find that microphones are typically placed right next to the speaker. if our hearing aids worked as well as you expect them to, then these film crews would not be carrying big poles and huge shotgun microphones and stick them right next to the sound sources.
Golly gosh and gee whizz, I thought they did that in order to record the voices at normal conversational levels. But hey, what do I know?
