PHONAK BRIO R312 T from COSTCO, Land line hearng?

Have had my new 312RT’s for a week now, and have not yet been to my first follow-up appointment. They do improve my ability to hear and understand greatly.
I’ve got them Bluetooth connected to my cell phone and they work fine.
Problem is, if I try to answer my landline phone, and put the receiver to my ear, I cannot hear the conversation. I must pull the aid out. Any experience with this short of purchasing a new set of Bluetooth enabled landline phones?

Do you hear a beep when you place the handset next to the hearing aid? That would be the phone program activating. Your fitter can change the default phone program to a t-coil program which may help you pick up the sound better. Otherwise I would suggest getting the Phonak DECT phone. It streams the signal directly to your aids without the ComPilot.

One thing to remember is you need to put the phone receiver where the hearing aid’s microphones are, not where your ear canal is. Are you turning on your manually?

With the Brio 312T you have two options. One as other posters have indicated above is the use of a . It uses the magnetic lines of force generated in the receiver to detect and retransmit the sound. Newer phones have very small speakers and may not produce strong enough magnetic fields to get great results. The other option is a phone program that is available. You do hold the receiver over your hearing aid, not over your ear. You need to select if you use the phone on your left or right side. The Brio then transmits the sounds it hears from the phone to both hearing aids.
