Hansaton shd

means all ha have such sensors?

Not sure what sensor means in this context. I assume it is some channel processing capability. (DSP) That’s what they all do. @rasmus_braun can probably tell you what model it really is if you post the model info for it.

If it is price, have you looked at buyhear and such as a way to get current models?

That is just advertising. I see that it requires a different (Scout) interface to program the aids which is likely proprietary.

Some marketing guy gave a view of hardware that’s oriented to selling rather than good info. It is hype.

With the launch of sound SHD stream, Hansaton is presenting its latest RIC hearing aid system in the sound SHD product family, which offers binaural features for a natural hearing experience. Thanks to the SWORD chip, it connects directly to any Bluetooth® capable phone

SWORD: future-proof chip is the most advanced ever used in hearing aids

Sonova’s breakthrough chip SWORD employs the most advanced semiconductor process ever used in hearing aid manufacturing. With more than 42 million transistors placed on less than 7 mm² of silicon, the low-voltage radio chip has the lowest power consumption of any hearing aid using Bluetooth Classic. This is made possible through the introduction of 40 nm CMOS technology, combining one radio chip and one antenna to power all applications. SWORD runs multiple communication protocols to choose the best solution for any specific application: Standard Bluetooth (Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth LE) protocols to connect to hundreds of multimedia audio sources, proprietary protocols such as AirStream for a true plug and play solution with excellent sound quality for TV streaming and the ear-to-ear communication protocols supporting binaural applications

Sonova Presents New Product Line at AAA 2018

Sonova Holding AG, a provider of hearing solutions, announced that it will present its latest innovations at AAA 2018.

Sonova is the Phonak company. They bought Hansaton, a retailer, a few years ago. You could go to the Phonak website for more information. Phonak is one of the big 6 hearing aid manufacturers and many consider those 6 very competitive. They all have some creative marketing and claim, of course, that their hearing aids are far superior to anything else.

There is nothing wrong with Phonak aids and many people do report great success with them. But keep in mind that people swear by all 6 of the big brands, and, people swear at all 6 brands as well!
