MFi/Audio Streaming from PC/Mac to aids

I have Starkey Halo 2 i2400. The streaming from iPhone is perfect, but I’d like to stream audio from my Mac/PC. I tried Airfoil and it kind of worked, but there was a significant delay (~2 seconds) from the Mac to the Halo’s, because of buffering and audio compression/decompression. I tried connecting the Halo’s to my Mac directly, but I failed at that. At this point I’m thinking about getting a , but I have no idea what would be the sound quality. Does anyone have any experience with this?

is a whole different thing. I doubt that’s what you want. Mostly for POTS type phones or rooms that have been wired for it.

You also don’t get stereo with t-coil.
I’m not an Apple guy but I seem to think people are having success connecting through via the iphone. Mac/PC to iphone to ’s.

I am aware of the Handoff feature for Apple hardware, but official Apple page says it works only for iOS devices.

Like I said…not the Apple guy. I think one can bluetooth to the iphone then mfi to the ’s from the iphone. I think I’ve read of people not having any lag. Or wifi to the iphone and out to the HA’s might work. Don’t know about lag there.
But I don’t know. Maybe I should shut up

I think you need a SurfLink Media 2 to be able to stream from computer (even Mac) to your hearing aids. As far as I know, all mfIphone hearing aids just stream directly from phone. Any other device requires an intermediary device (or two) Either something that plugs into TV, computer, etc. that will stream LE Bluetooth, or an intermediary device worn on or near body that can receiver ordinary bluetooth and a device that will stream ordinary bluetooth. Note: I’m speaking generically. Regarding the SurfLink Media 2, talk to your audiologist or Starkey to see if it will accomplish what you want.
