Costco Kirkland Signature 9.0 (Product Information)

Costco can change the TV connector setting from Auto to manual. My KS9s were set to auto when I first had them but like others here that setting irritated me so Costco was able to change the setting. IIRC, there were three choices for the TV connector: manual, auto and a third setting that I don’t recall.
One side effect of enabling the TOSLINK output on my TV… It disables the ability to control the TV via an HDMI device. So, if I cast from my Android phone to my Chromecast, the TV no longer automatically turns on or change inputs.

I think the third setting is manual plus beep

If your fitter is having a hard time finding the setting, this should help.

Day #2 with the KS9 for me. So far the automatic program has been fairly spectacular. It has done a good job of adjusting to the different environments. Only has the switch in auto has been noticeable so far.

The streaming with Bluetooth is actually amazing. Actual stereo separation on soundtraks similar to wearing quality headphones or musician in-ear monitors. Wow. This is the first time that I am trying custom molds as well. I am really liking them so far. Bass response is very good. Only thing that I have noticed so far is that I have a little moisture when removing the molds at night from my ears. Perhaps the seal is keeping my ears warmer.

Phone calls have been very good also. Perhaps on the loud side but that is adjustable and my brain is still adjusting to the new setup.

Conversations are much better with the new aids. So far, I am very pleased with the KS9’s.

The reason on tax is probably that an HA is a “medical” device but a TV connector is not!

The TV connector and dryer can be purchased with HSA funds which are tax free funds, so that’s a small savings.

Check your HSA rules. They’ve become EXTREMELY restrictive.

Sierra I wanted to say that Kirkland 9 is in my local Costco; $ 2454.45 no the batteries, Sorry somehow I answered to different post. I wonder if is cheaper in ie Toronto? In London is above price

Wow, that seems high. Normally they only base it on the US to CDN currency exchange, and only change it if there is a significant change in the exchange rate. At current exchange rates the $1500 US converts to $1,995 CDN. I will have to check and see what they are now asking in Edmonton the next time I am in.

I was kind of surprised too, it was 1.999 from KS5 till KS8 now it went 500 up .
The batteries are 13.99 for 48 so it went up.

It would blow my drums out. I always have to take my HAs out and use earplugs when shooting or my ears will ring for a month and the tinnitus will be MUCH worst for several weeks.

Yeah…um…ear plugs and/or muffs.
It always makes me chuckle inside with tv and movies when there’s some kind of gunfight in an enclosed space and no one is flinching or covering their ears due to the extremely loud noise. Particularly “bystanders” but never any reaction from the stars other than ducking.

Costco Specialist said the K9s did have noise suppression, So it would not amplify over the threshold loud noise setting.

They’re just being realistic! The gunslingers already have severe hearing loss from all the shootouts they’ve been in before. BTW, a great old gunslinger flick is The Shootist with John Wayne. In spite of his stereotyped true blue image, he was in some movies that raise interesting social issues and are very complex morally, like The Searchers, one of his most famous.
