Yesterday, I went to Costco for a pre-scheduled appointment for the first time since getting the NoahLink and the app to program my own KS9s. I was concerned that they might not be able to read my aids anymore, but their Target software found them just fine. All I did was have my guy at Costco read my aids and save it as a setting, so that I have an off–premises programming failsafe. Happy that we co-exist in both home-programming and Costco programming worlds. Interesting that Costco is using Phonak Target 6.0.1 and I am using 6.1.5.
My fitter also said that they regularly get firmware upgrades coming through, but they don’t make a big deal about it. Essentially, it’s the “walk in, sit down, and get a notice that there’s a firmware upgrade on screen and give it to the client” kind of a thing. So, at some point, we will probably get the 2.0 firmware for the KS9s. Probably when they get around to updating software at all the Costcos.
