Kirkland KS8 Acoustic Mode

Apparently when the aids are connected to my iPhone via bluetooth the acoustic mode is still active. Frequently when listening to the radio in my truck there are songs that will change modes on my aids. I have verified one song that does it consistently and at the same time spot in the song. Guess my truck has some weird acoustics since it doesn’t happen anywhere else.

Interesting. I have never really understood that acoustic mode thing. I notice that the icon for it comes up from time to time, and I think most frequently when one battery or the other is on it’s last legs.

I’ve noticed this when I’m unable to connect with the myControl app. Is it acoustic as in not connected like Dylan electric or not? :slightly_smiling_face:

Sierra - The KS8 app will produce sub audible audio tones to control basic functions of the aid when not connected via bluetooth and the app will automatically switch to this mode if bluetooth connection is lost.

If your truck radio setup is paired with iPhone for for the hands free phone feature the acoustic mode may be impacted. Doubt that the standards for pairing used by the phone industry deal with this.

Thanks for the tip but I have no Bluetooth in my truck. The issue is not a problem, I just found it amusing.
