I’ve recently learned that the Zero Delay processing path circuitry is only available on the 10, RIC 312 and RIC-R models. It is unavailable
on the custom lineup. What a shame.

what about android direct streaming??? or zero delay with custom /eartip without ventwith ric or R model???

So I just got a pair of the new Widex Moment because I was trying to upgrade my Evokes to the rechargeable option. My audiologist said the rep told her they no longer offer that option for the Evokes and he offered to exchange my Evokes for the new rechargeable Moment. Well, sure!!! I just got them and they really are awesome. I absolutely loved my Evokes but these even exceed those. They really do make sound “normal” without any of the tinny sound of typical HAs. I haven’t even used these for a full day yet so can’t comment on the battery life. But I’m a heavy streamer so will put these to work! There’s a new option in the Moment app (for iOS) called “PureSound”. It is apparently a dynamic that continually adapts the sound to your environment. It sounds so natural when changing sound environments. With my Evokes they would always default to Universal and be too loud the minute the dog barks and have a discernible background hiss in the quiet. I have not experienced that with PureSound. Haven’t even had these 24 hrs but in love with them already. Worth the wait in my opinion and if I hadn’t gotten these, I’d be really pissed that I had bought the Evokes so close to the launch of the Moments.

Hey, see my new post below. I’m a guitarist and stream music through my aides to play along. Just got the new Moments. I’m streaming from my iPhone and interestingly, they require way more fiddling with adjustments to get good quality music sound. But I’m thinking it is due to they way my audiologist programmed them. If I plug my ears it sounds awesome but otherwise is a bit tinny. But I’m programmed to increase higher frequency. And I didn’t get a chance to sit w my audiologist for fine tuning due to COVID-19. But otherwise, I’d choose these over the Evokes every day! I may just wear a set of headphones over them to isolate the sound.

Hello there, I will be getting the Moment next week. One week ago I had appointment with audi to fine tune the Evokes 440 and sign the contract, but I saw the posts on the Moment here and asked to switch to the new platform…just in time!
Will report back

As a musician I used Phonak hearing aids for a number of years. To eliminate the trilling distortion we had to turn off the feedback manager. So when I was in the market for new hearing aids I demoed a number of brands including Oticon OPN, Starkey, and Widex. With the Oticon OPN we weren’t able to eliminate the distortion, with the Starkey we were able to eliminate it in the music program, with the Widex Beyond 440s were didn’t need to make any adjustments. So, as you can guess, I’m using the Widex product. Great natural sounding hearing aids.

Musician hearing aid user of almost 30 years. I used Phonak high end products for years. I experienced the distortion/trilling when performing on my saxophone and other woodwinds. The way we got around the problem was to turn off the feedback manager but that wasn’t ideal either. So 2 years ago I investigated (demoed) Starkey and Oticon, and Widex high end products. The Oticon product wasn’t able to address the issue and the Starkey could get rid of it in the music program. The Widex 440 Beyonds had no distortion and a better more natural sound overall. It has changed my enjoyment of music tremendously.

Covid is slowing down everything, so I should be getting the new aids next week.
Trying to keep down expectations

Everyone is different and it’s not always the case but it seems quite common for music to sound good with Widex.
My friend is a professional musician and she wears Phonak from the NHS. Unfortunately she can’t try Widex without paying for them as they aren’t offered on the NHS.

Hello Vogon,
Have you had the chance to try the Widex Moment? I am planing to purchase it once the Covid19 situation allows me to do so, and a feedback would be tremendously helpful.
Thank you.

Hola @pcastillo1975,
my audi will receive the new Widex Moment hearing aids next week (Covid is delaying the arrival).
Por supuesto, I will send a feedback as soon as I’ll start the trial

Thank you for replying. Also in Europe Covid is delaying the arrival of the Widex Moment, so I don’t think I will be able to get mine before June/July.
Hope yours work good for you and can’t wait to hear your feedback.
Good luck!

Spain, that’s correct. I am in touch with this clinic in the Netherlands that sells ’s online and then charges per visit if needed.
As I was told, they will be the first to sell the Widex Moment in Europe but apparently due to Covid-19, the arrival is being delayed.
If you’d like to take I look: Over ons | Online Hoortoestel NL22.
Regards.

Were the Widex set up with the sensogram? Lots of dispensers mistakenly use and you then don’t achieve the maximum potential or true beauty of the Widex sound. The sensogram fitting which I believe is exclusive to Widex has a very precise algorithm leading to a hearing experience that sounds magical as soon as you’re set up. I have had a couple of dispensers set them up using REM and as a very experienced Widex user recognised something wasn’t right as I couldn’t hear as well and it didn’t sound natural. Once the sensogram was used with the vent selection and feedback test I got the Widex sound back at which point everything sounded great again. It is also really important to select the vent size. Even between 1 to 1.5 adds or minuses the frequencies to get the perfect set up so they must select this as guided. Custom aids or tips are the final measure in getting 100% speech recognition in test results. Every time Widex have promised something they have delivered, so I can’t wait to upgrade when the time is right and look forward to hearing the reviews!

Phonak has Direct that is very similar to your explanation of Widex Sensogram.

I had planned to buy new this year, but at this point I’m thinking why bother because I’m having so few face-to-face conversations. But I would like to keep abreast of new developments. I saw that the Widex Moment was released in March. Has anyone been able to trial them? If so, what do you think?
Are audi offices even open? Will HA manufacturers just postpone their 2020 new product releases until next year? Thanks to anyone able to provide any insight.
