@Raudrive and @Deaf_piper as I was mentioned earlier in this topic, I’ll weigh in.
I only have the basic volume control, the 1 - 10 level. I don’t have the master volume yet, I don’t have the bass and treble, or the sensitivity. I should be getting those on the 19th when I have my 3 month check and map.
Each time I’ve had a mapping, I’ve understood better and speech has become clearer. What bothers me is that I still have problems understanding someone speaking behind me or with the TV on and the air conditioner / furnace on at the same time. The TV could be because my husband has hearing loss and he tends to blast the TV. Speaking of TV, I can hear that fine without a streamer. I’m thinking of doing more listening with the processor only. Lower frequency sounds have some normalcy to the sound, but most sound sounds robotic.
I have the Ksnso 2. iI’ve had the Kanso 2 for three weeks. I absolutely love it!!! It’s nice not having to wear it on your ear. Your ear will thank you. The bluetooth feature works fine. There’s no difference in sound. It feels like there is nothing on your head, but I will say it’s a bit heavier in weight because of all the electronics in the device. I still have an N7 as a backup and I like the ability to use it. Just make sure you have ordered a strong enough magnet to keep it on your head. I have a 3 in my N7, but a 4 on my Kanso 2. The magnet range goes up to 6. I might increase mine to a 5 because when I have my hair pulled back or want to wear it on top of my hair, my hair affects the strenth of the magnet staying attached to the implant. I have the short retention clip and ordered the hair clip and line for that clip. The hair clip grabs the hair and for me, is secure.
