What color did you choose and why?

ARE YOU KIDDING? You just completely convinced me to NEVER get the Sphere, I don’t care if my audiogram is buried 6 feet under. I just can’t go back to that Bimer lineup.

Let me know when that happens and I’ll somehow justify a third pair of these 312s. As it is, I’m green with envy at the Jade color they come in.

I wonder if Phonak has restricted VIBRANT, PLAYFUL colors to their 312 aids to those they think are 6 yrs old or younger?

Last year about this time there were more colors offered, and there was an aquamarine or something like that which I decided I’d get when my turn for new aids came in November. It actually came in September, but I waited expecting they’d be on the contract in November, but only the infinio rechargeable was on the contract. Sphere didn’t come out until May, when I finally ordered. And the color choices had collapsed to boredom. I decided boredom beat asking “what” a bit less and bit down. Charcoal gray it is. Probably would go with the velvet black if I were doing it today. Still disappointed that it’s a really boring color.

I’m gonna ask “WHAAAAAAAT???” all day long before I spring for the Infinio Ultra. Meanwhile, I’ll write to Phonak Prod Dev and encourage them to lighten up a bit and offer COLORS. There should be banana yellow, tangerine, irridescent green-purple, and MORE.

The paucity of anything youthful and FUN is precisely why folks drag their feet getting HEARING aids! There should be a line of “Jelly Bean” Phonaks to appeal to the kid in us.

If I ordered these aids in any of those Bimer colors (and, um I have two older rechargeables in champagne and silver, lol) I may as well go buy a matching cane.

Hey I have a Swatch watch that’s see-thru. No flashing lights, but I LOVE it. Great idea.

Translucent shell Virto R is as close as you can get. Business faceplate, party shell but there’s no LED internally.

The Spehere guts are likely more hidden with some sort of frame. On Virto you can make out most of the parts.

Color is steel grey in my Oticon XCeed 1 plus CROS. Will be doing graphite grey in my new Phonak Infinios plus CROS. Graphite grey or steel grey is my color because it looks techy. And I’m a tech geek. shrug

I’ve seen 2 differences between Sky and Standard, I’ve found are:

1. Sky use a less functional App (although the Amplifon App gives full functionality).
2. Sky has no Tinnitus Masking programme (I find no use for this anyway).
