Need Target download for Phonak Paradise

I’ve taken the plunge and purchased a used pair of Phonak Paradise aids. Got a great deal on very clean looking aids. I realized the free tier Resounds my insurance provided me with is not going to solve my problem in restaurants or groups in general. I understand I will need to get ahold of the Target software for my Noalink wireless. Can anyone help? I’ve heard there are audiologists who are happy to share this.

Hi there @LindaKeresCarter a great idea to take charge of your hearing loss, as you have the Noahlink wireless already, I’m sure you’ll be up and running in no time.

Need help getting access to Phonak Target software (Audeo P90 user)

I'm a musician based in Nashville, and I need to make regular adjustments to my Phonak Audeo P90 hearing aids — enough that I really need to get my hands on Phonak Target (v12) myself.

I understand frequencies and acoustics well from my music background, so I know exactly what adjustments I need. The problem is my audiologist has never given me client-level access to EQ my own aids. On top of that, the Auto Program keeps getting thrown off by background noise, and the treble response swings up and down inconsistently depending on the environment.

I've tried explaining what I need to my doctor, but he doesn't seem to get why a musician would need this level of control over their own hearing aid programming.

Has anyone else run into this? Specifically:

  • Is there a way to get Phonak Target software as an end user, or does it require going through a provider/audiologist license?
  • Has anyone successfully pushed back on a provider who won't unlock fine-tuning access?
  • Any workarounds for the Auto Program mis-triggering in noisy/musical environments?

Appreciate any insight from people who've dealt with this.

Welcome to the forum @garryg , yeah you've come to the right place! For those older paradise you can just use target 10, absolutely your Audiologist won't have a clue how you hear and like things to sound so with your background will be child's play, you can check out these links for musicians.

Your aren't locked, just that your clinic don't want you doing anything thing which is why they won't be helpful.

I strongly suggest you read the user guides before starting DIY and use the demo simulation mode in target to help you understand how things work.
