I have my new ’s! They are excellent so far. Out of the box they were not good for me so I am happy that my Audio was able to do . Within about 15 minutes he fine-tuned them and they were spot on. I have the myPhonak APP on my iPhone but I still have to learn how to use it.
First problem - when I use other apps I get interruptions / noises in my ears if I click on something within the app. For instance, if I click ‘like’ on a facebook post I hear that in the aids, or if I am typing a message to someone in Messenger it clicks in my ears. There are many instances, but if you tell me what setting to change on one I will be able to do it on others.

It really is getting annoying!

This is exactly how these hearing aids are. You may turn off all notification sounds from iPhone to resolve this issue. Issue occurs because changes program every time it needs to send some sound from phone to your HA.

Is it possible to ask a number of questions?

  1. Did the audiologist create only program 1, or did he adjust all programs (environment, TV, quiet) on his own?
  2. How long did it take you to get used to?

On My Android phone if I press and hold the bluetooth symbol it will open up all my bluetooth connections. From there I select Phonak hearing aid and in there are 2 options. Use for calls and use for audio. Un-select use for audio and that should fix it. If use for audio is selected then every sound on your phone goes to your ’s.

All application notifications switches the into bluetooth microphone mode.

You should disable any unnecesary notification and keyboard voices etc to handle this.

To stop the Facebook sound, you have to turn off ‘in app sounds’ within actual Facebook settings.

Make sure this is un clicked.

I just watched the audio, but he did 3 adjustments from what I saw looking at the screen.
Getting used to it? I just got them yesterday. So far I have had no problems (except the clicking) until tonight. Watching TV has been very difficult with understanding speech, but I watched a different channel than last night. It was not right for me at all. Volume, clarity and all of the adjustments that I tried did not sound right. I know I did not give it a lot of time for me to adjust, but if I cannot hear what is being said? I finally asked my OH (who watches tv in another room and has perfect hearing) to adjust my tv to his hearing. With his volume I still struggled to hear even if I adjusted Clarity and More Sound.

@Confused for the typing sounds on android go into settings/sounds/ advanced and you can turn off the keyboard sounds. I turned off all the other sounds as well. Turning off all but the most important notification sounds helps as well. I only have sounds for phone calls and text messages.

I finally found it! Media and Contacts can only be accessed through Facebook on a mobile/cell. On an iPhone, go to Facebook and click the 3 bars bottom right. Scroll down to Settings. Scroll to bottom and under ‘Media and Contact’ click ‘Sounds’. Turn off ‘In-app sound’

For the keyboard clicks - go to
Settings > sounds and Haptics > Keyboard Clicks.
Turn that off and then when you type you will not hear clicking as you type on the keyboard.
You will need to scroll down to find ‘keyboard clicks’. Hope this helps.

I have similar problems with my Phonak Marvel . Phonak’s recommended solutions are as mentioned above. These compromise the use of your HA’s.
Turning off the audio disconnects my hearing aids from being able to talk on the phone.
Turning off media disconnected my ability to stream music and lectures to my hearing aids.
This is a software problem that Phonak has been aware of for some time. It is mentioned in social media.
