I just purchased Roger EasyPen. When I tried to add it as an accessory in Target 7.0 it brings up that Roger X (2) is mandatory. I don’t understand what Roger X is and why I would need it to get Roger EasyPen to work with my P90 hearing aids. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
TLDR: Phonak Paradise and Roger Easy aren’t meant to connect. Most of the times a new generation of Phonak aids will demand a new line of aids.
The Roger Easy has some bluetooth functionality to connect to your mobile: It basically functions as a headset that allows you to answer&deny calls.
To connect to your aids, you need a receiver. -The Roger MyLink has a loop around your neck and connects via .
-The Roger X has three pins (europin), which can be chucked into the bottom of a ComPilot or a hearing aid boot.
-There are also receivers that are hearing aid boots. Depending on your aids, you need different boots.
As the Paradise line doesn’t need a gadget to connect to your phone anymore, the only functionality left is the mic function.
If it would work during a phone call, you could rig your mobile to start a dummy phone call. The input would be Roger Easy and the output would also go to the Roger Easy. You would have to split audio to two sinks: Both the Paradise aids and the Roger Easy.
So you would need to use two apps: an audio output splitter and a dummy or test telephone app.
Oh. Then I have 2 Roger 1.1’s or a 1.0 and one 1.1? The one is wholly aluminum colored, the other has telephone buttons in red and green. I am willing to stand corrected. Always assumed I had an easy and a 1.1.
Good to hear that they connect to the Phonak Paradise directly after license installation. What can I expect for connection to the Phonak M90’s Raudrive has send on (an all-european-tour*) to me?
*They appear to have passed Riga, after visiting Vienna and Frankfurt first.
What can I expect for connection to the Phonak M90’s
The Bluetooth won’t work on the Pens with the Marvel / Paradise otherwise the start to act all weirdly and changes programs and causes all sorts of beeps etc.
I am only interested in the mic function for meetings and slurring friends. (Some can’t seem to handle their alcohol and articulation at the same time.)
However, I don’t expect them to connect to the RogerPen without an intermediary.
You would need to get a machine like in the picture above to transfer the licenses to the M90. The Roger X needs to have a serial number of 1744 or later for it to work.
Another option is to buy a Roger Pen iN device that has the licenses in the Pen already.
Nope. I got the X(03) 1412… Suppose, I’ll have to pay the audiologist again to prescribe the solo equipment. Well, at least he’ll be able to make a measurement for the new aids, too.
Just to make sure I am on the right track: If I purchased a Select iN, after I had connected it to my Paradise P90 R with custom molds, I would be able to connect and use my Roger EasyPen that I have already purchased?
And here comes the new gadget line…
So the Roger Select replaces the TableMic II? And connects to all previous Roger equipment? Nice if they at least kept the Roger line compatible. (More space I suppose.)
About the batteries: Did anyone stumble into dying RogerMic batteries, yet? Mine seem to be still going strong after 5+ years.
So the select won’t let the Roger Pen’s connect to the ’s? Than I misread the previous posts.
Took me a few seconds to recognize from the images that the Select and the Table Mic weren’t the identically shaped. Phonak gadgets always seem to be able to confuse me. I still have a ZoomLink somewhere that I bought, because I mistook it for a Roger MyLink. Same on the outside, different on the label: One analog, one digital.
