Phonak TV Connector Different Versions

Turning off the tap feature has solved my issue. I do not know what the different firmware in the newer TV Connect does but it would be interesting to know if the latest TV Connects that are sold for Sennheiser share the same firmware as the Phonak versions.

That might have taken care of the issue but since I wasn’t using the feature it didn’t seem worth the hassle. I’m still not convinced I’ve really fixed it but this seems to have. I don’t really get it as the hearing specialist did set sensitivity and it seemed to require a pretty sturdy double tap. Thanks for the idea though.

I had the terrible idea of updating the firmware, and now the TV Connector disconnects several times while watching a movie. Has anyone had the same problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Did you check in target about the way the tv streamer can connect, there’s some settings there I believe.

I don’t use Target. I updated the firmware by downloading the file from the Phonak website and connecting the TV Connector to my PC. Are the settings I need to change only on Target or also on the Phonak app?

I found the file and reading the name carefully, the firmware is from 2024 “Sonova Firmware Upgrader3.2.4187-3c88080d6b95f2-2024.01.11”.

Look inside places where the cables connect to the body of device or TV - maybe there is some dirt, or has dust settled?

But why did you do this? I always recommend not to do firmware updates unless it’s absolutely necessary, yes there is settings in target software for the tv connector.

I think I had that issue once, and cleaned it, solved it.
