Feedback Overturning Adjust in KS10

Not really, target offers 5dB more after running the feedback measurement,you need to tick the check box for it tho.

This is what it’s supposed to do, otherwise you’ll have a lot of feedback issues, some of us are ok with this, as in just a little bit before the feedback manager kicks in.

Are your moulds made for a perfect fit, could be they are a little loose,or that vent is a little bit big, these would upset the feedback measurement.

As for KS10 having the same,one would think so,as it’s using target, a few forum members are DIY on this model, hopefully they’ll chime in.

Thank you Tenkan. As you mentioned, the Target software allows gain to exceed the measured feedback threshold by a maximum of 5 DB. Since I have a steeply downward audiogram in the left ear, the augmented gain limit is still below the gain needed for soft sounds (50 dB) at 2k and above. Partially blocking the vents raises the feedback threshold and the corresponding gain limit to 2.6 k, WITHOUT producing feedback
The feedback overturning in Phonak P90 can raise the gain limit above the feedback threshold well over 5 dB until feedback issues arise. I plan to get KS10 and would like to know if it has a feedback overturning adjust similar to that in Phonak P90.

Are you using SoundRecover2 for this, as this could be a solution without having to try and increase gain in the lost frequencies.

Yes I just tried this, it’s a maximum of 12dB! Wow quite a bit more then I would think is possible to get a satisfactory fit, but then again a tight fitting mould and no vent could work for a power hungry user.
