From what I see the wire is replaceable, but the receivers are molded into the ear molds. They maybe able to get the receivers out by doing what they do to aids and cut the backs off to get to the parts inside.

My Audiologist agreed to the skeleton ear mold, but has to check with Oticon to see if I have get another impression done.

They are sent to MotherShip for laser ion receiver extraction and 4-D diphasic printer reconstruction

The custom molds for my 105 receivers have a door in the back. Once you open that back door, you can retrieve the 105 dB receiver out because it’s a rectangular hollow space inside with 2 protruding tabs inside to act as 2 fingers to hold the receiver in place. So I can keep the original mold and just open the back door to retrieve and replace the receiver if it goes bad.
You may want to ask your audi next time you see him about that option next time you see him. In my experience, receivers tend to go bad quite often and if you have to make a new mold (or 2 or 3, until it fits perfectly) each time your receiver goes bad to replace the receiver, it’d be quite a bit of an inconvenience because you’d be without your hearing aids for a while each time. That is unless you already have backup/spare molds/receivers in place ready for action.

I will find out when I get my new ear mold, my Audiologist said I would be able to change it out.
From the instructions video I have seen the receiver wire is changeable but the receiver is molded into the ear mold.

That probably is true for the Power Receiver Mold, but I have the MicroShell sealed receiver mold, and the only way to replace the receiver is to replace the Wire & mold.

Hi, my audi contacted me last week and he offered me to try the new more ha’s. I’m coming from opn s3 which i bought them last year’s July. I said ok why not although it would be a no go for me considering their price at least for this time. Anyway he fitted my custom earmolds with the more 1 ha’s, did the usual programming and went for test outside with the traffic noise and stuff and he was talking to me wearing face mask as well. I was understanding every single word he was saying to me while he was standing at 2 meters in front of me, i was amazed and shocked. I mean my opn’s 3 were already amazing compared to my previous ha’s and was very happy and now with the more’s its really a night and day difference, wow… Good thing is they can replace my s3 ha’s at 75% of their price and get the more with a discount so i’m very tempted to do this. Considering they give 4 years warranty with free spare parts and replacements.Only drawback for me is that they have built in batteries instead of the classic 312 batteries i use on my s3’s but when i go to sleep i check the battery levels and they are at 45-50% so i guess it’s going to be fine. Sorry for the long post.

I am glad you find them so good. I love my More1 aids, and I have gotten so use the the rechargeable batteries that I wouldn’t want anything else

This morning is switched between the default program and the t-coils
The t-coils were too loud and had to lower to -3
But the -coils are wonderful for the notifications and sermons, the default program is better for the music
I wanted to cry because I was hearing so well with this hearing aids

The sermon as heard directly from the t-coil probably has less room reverberation because it’s directly from the preacher’s mic to the loop so that’s why it sounds better through the t-coil.
The music on the other hand when fed directly to the loop presumably from a mixer can be more dry through the tcoil, and therefore would sound better with some wet room reverberation added in when listened from the ’s mics and not from the HA’s tcoil.

@cvkemp Are you able to keep your Opn S 1 Rechargeable’s as back up’s or will the batteries fail because they are not being used as much?

Yes my OPNS1 aids are my backup, I have worked out a schedule and have it in my calendar and todo list to ensure that I can keep the batteries from dying.

There is absolutely no feedback with the More1 aids hen my left ear mold stays in place. And I haven’t had any feedback at all from the right hearing aid, the right ear mold stays in place with no issues

I will be glad when I get my new left ear mold, the one I have now is worse about slipping out then the one I had in my OPNS1 aids. Hopeful I will be getting a full skeleton ear mold soon for my left ear.
Other than the issue with my left ear mold, I can find nothing to complain about the More1 aids. The sound is wonderful, my speech understanding is very good, but not perfect. I am really enjoying all of the sounds I hear, for I enjoy a full life and a full life requires hearing the environment of sounds all around me. While I understand there are so many that claim they only want to hear speech and nothing else, for me I find that would be missing out on a whole world of sounds around me. Yes, there are times that there are certain sounds that are momentary overwhelming, but my brain seems to compensate for the overwhelming sounds quickly and I no longer find the sounds a problem.

Chuck, just out of curiosity, did you have your Audi set Neural Noise Suppression to max, as recommended by @Volusiano?

My Audiologist said he sat all of my environmental sets to mid range. It is working great for me. And when need to focus on a speaker I can use the MoreSoundBoost and it works great. The OpenSoundBoost never worked at all on my OPNS1 aids

So, I really have to wonder if all the complaints about Oticon “Dumbing Down” the More1 by not increasing the settings to max are, indeed unfounded.
Really happy you are getting such a profound improvement with the More1’s.
I find the OPN S to not be much improvement over my OPN1’s.
I gotta figure a way to lobby my Audi to get me MORE!!!

To be honest as my Audiologist said I am getting the more I needed from the 6% boost in sound due to improvement in the feedback system. I have to say I haven’t heard any of the artifacts that I did in my OPNS1. What I believe is clipping of the sound at times from the feedback circuits trying to prevent feedback. I saw the software representation of my OPNS1 and my More1 aids, while there was a drastic fall off of high frequencies with the OPNS1 the More1 aids don’t have the drop off until they reach the limits of the circuits. With the OPNS1 aids I couldn’t hear any separation of musical instruments but with the More1 aids I hear the different instruments. And I don’t hear any distortion in the instruments and that sound is with the general program, I don’t have a music program. My Audiologist says there was a lot of room for adjustments to the fitting if needed but so far I am not seeing any changes except to get my left ear mold to stay in place. The remake should be available by the end of the week I hope. I still have some issues with speech but I don’t believe at this time there is any possibility of improvement due to long time issues I have had with word recognition.

You gotta think of it this way. I’ll give you an analogy. You paid for a Ford F3 pickup truck so it can pull the heaviest trailer load you may encounter, but your dealer gave you a Ford F1 or maybe a Ford F2 instead. If your trailer load is lighter most of the times, you won’t have any issue pulling it with an F1 or F2 and go 75 mph on the freeway.
But once in a while you have a big load beyond what the F2 can handle and be able to get up to 75 mph on the freeway, you’ll wish the dealer had given you the F3 that you paid for, but instead you now only get an F1 or F2 and are stuck with driving 55 mph on the freeway because the load is too heavy to pull at 75 mph. But if your load is lighter 95% of the times, you’ll be blissfully happy with the F1 or F2 most of the times.

Yep and why my dad always said if you need to pull a 5000 pound trailer, make sure that the truck can pull at least 8000 pounds and it would be better if it handled 10k pounds
