Hi there:
Is it common when you replace your old cones with new cones of the same type and size that the new ones are annoying and itch?

I think I’ll give it a try! I recently got new with tulip domes – and find they itch after being in for a few hours. Never had an itch with my acrylic molds…

Thanks for posting.
I’ve had tough times with power domes and my last Phonaks. My new Phonak P90R’s I’ve been reducing the size of domes one step at a time. I must be more patient. I’ll keep them in longer before trying a smaller size. Itch!

I oiled my ears each night when I got my new. It had not occurred to me to use ear oil with new domes. Thx folks for your thoughts. Costco gave me ear oil.

When you have a profound loss like I do the molds have to fit tight . They don’t always slide in easily. Thus the miracell or ear oil. I mentioned the miracell because besides the fact that it lubricates it definitely gets rid of itchy ear. Just use it very sparingly otherwise you’ll have the stuff all over everything

I’ve been using the minifit grip tips for about 8 years now and never had an issue with itchy ears, I tried domes just recently and after a few hours my ears were itchy. I figured there must be something to the material they use. Wish the minifit grip tips were easier to find. My Audi carries them but can no longer find them via the internet except for shipped from Europe. Went back to the grip tips,

I am a relatively new hearing aid user, and I know what you mean by itchy ears. My heating aids were very itchy at first. Sometimes they still itch a little with new click sleeves (I cannot use domes because they slip out.). I’m going to try the suggestions on this forum to lubricate the click sleeves with Miracell before I put them in to see if it works for me! Thank you all for the info, even though it was for someone else! By the way, where can you get Miracell?
