Afraid none of these tricks worked, including trying to launch v.9 in Safe Mode. Prior to installing, there is a popup warning that "Unless you have Windows Enterprise LTSC (…) your OS is at risk. Outdated OS are not supported by Sonova (…). I run Win 10 home.
When launching Target 9, all I get is a box with a bunch of text, starting with:

Sonova.General.loC.ResolutionFailedException: Type resolving failed: Resolution of the dependency failed, type = ‘Sonova.Chinook.Application.lntegration.Framework.Hosting.Hooks.lExceptionHandIing’, name = ‘(none)’.
Exception occurred while: Calling constructor Sonova.Chinook.Application.lntegration.Subsystems.BusinessServices.Analytics.SystemEnvironment(Sonova.Chinook.Application.BusinessServices.lmprovementProgram.llmprovementProgramEnvironment improvementProgramEnvironment).
Exception is: ManagementException - Not found

Any expert help appreciated…

Hey I wouldn’t have a clue as to what is happening with this “update” but a very easy solution is to uninstall target and then reinstall it, for whatever reason you have some conflicts going on in the background and just reinstalling target should get you up and running.

Do you know if the Target app can be updated from within yet, or should I uninstall/reinstall from the original files?

I seem to remember there was an option to install an updated version on my initial install.

I’m only asking as I understand there’s a new Paradise firmwear which apparently needs the latest Target version to install.

Yes in target there’s an option for checking any updates ( it should give you a little pop up arrow when available) bottom right corner on the start up page “updates”

Yes it looks that way, the miniPro is suitable from AliExpress, but you’ll need the cables as well, this is the plug in 10A type cables.

Welcome to the forum, sure but do read the user guides as well, very handy for setting up the first time or for any adjustments you want to make.

Tenkan, people here are asking for a download of Target, and not for your further advice. I wonder why you are repeating this message 7 x 70 times? Can you help them to Target?

Hi there, well this is subjective, most people don’t have a clue what they are actually doing, so it helps to have at least some basic knowledge before jumping in, so yes I always help them with both the software and beginner’s guide for DIY.

Of course people have to know what they are doing, but I think you are overdoing this. You say ‘I always help them with both the software …’, does that mean you are pointing out where they can get Target? In that case, the trouble I see is quite less. Cheers

Yes, everything they need is given to them to start their project, they often ask a few questions later and then are up and running, I’m sorry that me responding this way is well… i guess annoying you, maybe others as well, but I feel it would be better to say to much then not enough ; )
