ReSound One Hearing Aids Now Offer Hands-Free iPhone Streaming

I have Resound One without M&RIE on firmware 9.60.1.0 and Smart 3D on 1.19.0.
With further testing it works quite well in quiet environments but is not very good in noisy places.
I am quite happy with the overall performance and hope some further software improvements can make it even better. Also as Ureout has done, delete Smart 3D and reinstall it .

Thanks, Andy, I try it too: reinstall the Smart 3D. But it do not work.
I call ReSound and this reason I hear: I use on the other side a CI. Cochlear Nucleus 7.
Together the streaming is superb. But by a call the Nucleus 7 want to stay at the microfons by the iPhone. No go to the micros of ReSound! No hands free!
When I cut the Cochlear Nucleus 7 from the iPhone it will work. But then I hear with one ear…
Maybe in the future, Cochlear will bring a update so I hope.

I tried hands free. And I thought it was working. I selected my left hearing aid from input since my Cochlear Kanso 2 is in my other ear. But in testing specifically to make sure the hearing aid microphone is being used, I learned it hasn’t been kicking in. And I just read the above posts about the other ear’s Cochlear device making the microphone remain only the phone microphone is very annoying!

I bought this hearing aid for this feature! It’s very frustrating to have it be taken away after waiting for years. Boo.

Oh! The button on the ONE device was capable of answering a call. But the microphone on the hearing aid doesn’t activate. Very irritating. I updated my hearing aid and phone for this. Resound and Cochlear have a responsibility to clarify with their “Alliance” and to ensure their products will have workarounds.

Kinda handy isn’t it? (No pun intended.)

I have Resound One’s and I get my HA from the VA. I was at the VA last week and asked about the Hands Free. He told me after May 1st. I don’t know it that a VA deal or what.

The VA providers need to wait (I don’t know why, but it sounds contractual) for the semi-annual contract tech refresh renewals May/Nov for things like new firmware and new HAs/accessories. So that is why “everyone” has the updated firmware except VA patients. I knew there was an update for my HAs available last fall, and my audiologist assured me I had the latest available. In December she invited me in for an appointment to update.

As a software engineer, retired, there are many bugs in every thing that has software or firmware, you just haven’t found them yet.

Well by that logic we should avoid everything ;). I believe you knew what I meant - there have not been large numbers of people reporting any one issue…

I have been around computers, and software a very long time, the rule of thumb is for every software bug found there are at least 100 that haven’t been found.

Pretty sure iPhone 7 is too old. I think needs iPhone 11, 12 or 13

Well that’s bad news. I can’t afford a new Iphone just to get hands free.

I had an adjustment done at Costco last week on my Jabra Enhance Pro’s, and did receive this firmware update.

Well I just ordered a new Iphone 11 to replace my Iphone 7 so that I can get my hands free for my Resound One.
