For the last ten years I’ve used receivers in the ear and simple silicone power domes with satisfactory results.
A few months ago I replaced my hearing aid. The new arrived with a receiver in the ear and GREY power dome and ear-hook. The grey power dome is measurably shallower older domes and didn’t provide the performance of the older domes. I sent a pic (old and new) to my audiologist who confirmed that the latest power domes are shallower with a hook… apparently because too many users were having the dome detach from the receiver and the dome stuck in their ear.
I cut the ear-hook off to make if ft deeper, which works for sound quality, but then the power dome would not stay in place, and almost fell out in occasion. I’m back to using my old, deeper power domes, but I don’t have an unlimited supply.
Does anyone know where I can obtain the older power-domes? TIA.
