I’m on my 3rd set of Phonaks. I had no problem with any others. These are smaller. I’m not familiar with the COSTCO KS10.0T aids.

Phonak Canada rep in Toronto said to my audiologist they had no complaints.
But there has been many people on Facebook struggling as well. Even some of the Audi’s say the circle thing doesn’t work as well s he older design.

It may help if you split the top of the disc off. I think if the top and bottom aren’t perfectly aligned for the hole you are trying to use to take a trap out of, it does a bad thing when you jam it down in.

@WhiteHat thanks. I’ll do that for the next change. I actually did without for about 2 weeks maybe a couple of months ago.
Meantime my wife keeps saying my hearing aids don’t work.

Our family doesn’t always understand that hearing airs aren’t like glasses. help ameliorate the problem but don’t restore good hearing. You can’t hear from another room, with a back turned to you, if you aren’t expecting to hear the question, if they swallow their words or are a soft talker, etc.

I thought this would be a problem, too, but it wasn’t. I went from the Oticon Opns (3 years or so) to the Phonak Paradise 90s about a month ago. I drop the aids into the charger before going to bed at night, and take them back out in the morning. The charge lasts a really long time; it’s only down to about 65% by the evening.
My Oticons are in a drawer in case I need them.
I feel very, very comfortable using the rechargeables. In fact, they’re much less fuss than the battery-powered aids.

Im an audiologist and I feel like the Paradise platform has also been the moat unreliable aid in a long while. I was constantly having people return new aids due to charging issues. I hardly recommend them anymore unless I believe a client could really benefit from a Roger mic. Just my personal experience.

@LawyerFL
I understand. Completely.
A teacher friends says to people that if he can’t see their face he can’t hear them. I feel same way.

on the other hand if Apple made hearing aids maybe they would save the day.
(comparing the Mac computer to the old pc’s. I have a Mac, an old iPod, an iPhone (work), and an iWatch.)

Marriage almost guarantees the accusation of “selective hearing”. Hearing loss offers a valid excuse

There is an older(?) Phonak Charger Case Combi that looks quite similar to the Phonak Charge and Care unit. However the Combi does not have the UV light.

Understand.
My last new Phonaks (2 years ago) were terrible. I fired the audiologist after I figured that out. I had been a customer for almost 10 years. New audi has produced real results.
When I’m down and concerned I wish that Steve Jobs had invented real hearing equipment so that we might all hear better.
I’m slowly improving my hearing with my P90 R’s as I find ways to do that. And my new audiologist has really helped.
