Just to add my recent experience to this old but still relevant thread.
When I was issued with my Cochlear N8 pack nearly two years ago, it included a battery holder, and a pack of implant grade 675 cells. I was told always to use implant grade as standard 675 would only last a few hours.
I mostly use the rechargeables but carry the disposables with me. I recently had cause to use them and made some careful measurements:
Implant grade lasted 51 hours of actual usage, which took me from Saturday 4pm to Tuesday 6pm, so just over three days.
Standard 675 batteries lasted 49 hours of actual usage, from Tuesday 6pm to Friday 4.30pm, so just under three days.
So the audiologist who went through the kit with me was wrong.
I have a stack of standard 675 from pre cochlear days so won’t hesitate to use them.
