Great idea.
I tried calling for info about my hearing aids years ago. The gatekeeper wasn’t interested
However, I think I’ll call.
Thanks Neville!
I work just down the road.

Not sure whether this is relevant to the original title of this topic, but before becoming a Costco Hearing loyalist, I noticed that many sellers on eBay offer to program to the buyer’s current . Not as good as fine-tuning in a live visit with a fitter but for some it may be adequate. Better than nothing.

Just FWIW: I had a pair of Real 1 ‘brick’ on me today during a (wireless) firmware update.
It’s not an everyday thing, but it does happen. However, having a shelf full of Demos; the user went away with a functioning solution of the same product.
Weirdly I noticed that one of our Demo sets of Intent 1 wasn’t booting correctly either - red flashing light after an apparent clean boot and start up tune etc.

Have you found any pattern to why the aids brick? Can they be revived or not even by the manufacturer?

No rhyme or reason, just a firmware update that borked itself part way through.
I’m sending them back to Oticon, not sure if I’ll get the original aids back or not.

The Noahlink software is for offices that sell & support hearing aids. You don’t need that. You just need the Noahlink Wireless 2 device. And download the device driver for your computer (free).

It’s the Noah client software they use not Noahlink, and 99% of the time you don’t even need to download the driver, and last you can use any Noahlink wireless programming device, doesn’t have to be the MK 2 version, cheers
