MERRY CHRISTMAS to @Volusiano & @SpudGunner & everybody…
When the music is of good quality in TikTok or Youtube, the sound in MORE 1’s is very nice and soothing to the ears but when there is a lot of clapping or watching a basketball game on TV (with clapping), I can hear a distorted clapping with a swoosh sound. The more or louder the clapping, the more swoosh or hiss sound. Where the Audi should adjust or fine-tune? Appreciate your kind advice.
The only obvious thing I can think of is that perhaps the clapping sound is loud enough to trigger the Transient Noise Management which is designed to subdue sudden loud attack type sound burst so that you don’t get jumpy on the uncomfortably loud sounds. Have your check the screenshot below in Genie 2 and if your TNM (on the top of the page) is set to High or Medium, then turn it to Low or OFF to see if it helps.
I assume the clapping your hear, or watching a basketball game on TV with clapping, it’s sound coming from your external TV speakers and not streaming audio content from the source directly to your via Bluetooth streaming, right? I think (but I’m not 100% sure) that TNM only applies to the mics on the HAs picking up the ambient environmental sounds, and it doesn’t suppress when streaming audio contents. But maybe it does, although I’ve never experienced it in streaming audio before, only when listening live, like hearing the ball pop subdued when playing tennis, or hearing a sudden suppression of a wrench dropped on the hard floor. You can certainly try clapping your own hands loudly to see if you can feel this noise suppression triggered or not.
