From the annual report:

“The soon-to-be launched Oticon Real flagship hearing aids will offer improved speech understanding and a more comfortable and focused hearing experience by removing disruptive sounds for the benefit of our many users,” says Søren Nielsen, President & CEO of Demant.”

“In the coming weeks, we will begin the roll-out of new, premium, industry-leading hearing aids in all our brands, including our new flagship product, Oticon Real, which will support our growth in 2023.”

Below taken from Demant’s Annual Report 2022…

Product update
We will shortly start the roll-out of new families of premium hearing aids in all our brands. This includes our flagship hearing aid, Oticon RealTM, which is based on the new Polaris R platform and designed to further improve the performance of our ground-breaking Deep Neutral Network () technology. With this introduction, Oticon continues to build on the unique BrainHearingTM philosophy, showing sig- nificant improvements in speech clarity and reduced listening efforts in environ- ments with sudden and disruptive sounds.

The new hearing aids will be available at the three upper price points in both miniRITE and miniBTE styles across all our hearing aid brands, and they will include both rechargeable and non-rechargeable versions.

As above, there will be a teleconference on 09.02.2023 and roadshows happening in the UK, Denmark and France over the next week or so.

I will be waiting for these to be released instead of getting the More 1.

Glad to see this. I got OPN S1 just before the More line came out. I’ve been holding back so as to catch the next technology as it’s released. I’ll keep an eye out for this product. I appreciate the heads up.

Because the quote from the Demant annual report cited earlier in this topic is, indeed, nothing but groundless hype.

The silver lining about the More now being replaced by the Real, at least for retired folks like myself with no hearing aids insurance, is that I hope the More will be discounted well enough as the Real replaces it so that I can afford to upgrade from my OPN 1 to the More 1.

It doesn’t sound like the Real is a major upgrade from the More (like how the More is a more substantial upgrade from the OPN S), so I’d be happy to wait a little bit more and buy a discounted More from eBay when the Real floods the market enough. In a similar vein, I recently bought a new-to-me used iPhone 12 Pro Max a few years after the iPhone 14 came out because I can’t afford a brand new iPhone 14.

I think a lot of us are exactly like this, I don’t “rush” out to buy the latest , or a lot of other gadgets for that matter, however with I’m thinking of replacing a lot of stuff, I’ll hold off until the diehard fans of “gotta be first” start reporting on results (beta users) tho.

If it Is all hype no substance ill be a flop, and the CEO has his job

on the line. He prob is 100% certain it will deliver.

There are a number of attractive, proven “pitches” that can be used to promote a marginally-improved product like More. The one that peeks at us from the pages of Demant’s annual report isn’t one of them.

Pity they can’t find better help in the Marketing Department.

Any idea of when we will be able to buy the Oticon Real? I have the OPN 1 's. Trailing the Mores right now. I need new aids so I might a well get the Reals if they are coming out soon. Thanks

I would say the latter half of March, or April.

BTW, my audi said they all get invited to dinners by all the major mfrs so they can hear about the new products. She said she’ll be attending several such dinners in the next month or so. The Demant one was coming up first. I forget… I think she said this Thursday.
