Installing a new processor is much better than dressing up the previous platform in new cases, and then trotting that out as the greatest thing since sliced bread
I have to agree with this, having “all new” is better then reinventing the wheel, but we’ve all been down this road so many times over the years, I’m definitely hoping it’s all game changing…but I’m not gonna hold my breath

A little off topic but I have been listening to more and more music videos with .
Funny how speech is pretty clear and some music is pretty good. I actually listen to music from many years ago and now understand the words!
The percussions are good and most of the guitars are pretty good.

The previous generation was released in 2021. I have just bought Starkey aids several months ago and now they are obsolete!
Wow, that was so quick! At least I am consoled that there is no Power version of Genesis available yet.

I see a couple of digs at Phonak and their A2DP Bluetooth streaming. “Bluetooth LE Protocol” for the audio streaming annoys the hell out of me. There’s no such audio protocol as “Bluetooth LE”. I’m pretty sure they’re not talking about .

In the presentation I don’t see the : so these are as powerful as the BTEs? Or are they not interested in severe/profound deafness?

ric can’t always be as good as , because there is no receiver yet that can produce the same power as a BTE hearing aid. I suspect that their focus is RIC because it sells the most. Oticon also did not offer new hearing aids for BTE wearers. Otherwise, I studied the graphs of various manufacturers and concluded that Phonak/Unitron has a stronger receiver for RIC. I hope Genesis brings a newer version of the ric receiver with stronger sound output.

Power Plus version of evolv was released much later than the rest of the lineup. Maybe they will release the BTE version later this year.

Correct, and I think some ASHA HAs do the same, but off the top of my head, I’m not aware of any that use LE to do handsfree calling and binaural streaming to both Apple and Android devices.
ETA: Just doing a quick search, Phonak is the only one I could find that currently offers handsfree calling on both Android and Apple, and that’s through Classic, not LE.
Adding on to this, they’re clearly doing something different with LE than everyone else is, since I’m not aware of any that have both and , let alone use BT LE to enable handsfree calling on both.
