Connexx update problem

I’m used to running Connexx 8.3
I got my dad some that require newer fitting software.
I have the Connexx 9.9.0 but it won’t install, says I must first install 8.5
Soooo, can anyone steer me to Connexx 8.5 download?
or alternatively tell me how to make the 9.9 install (windows10)

Yeah that’s a pain, to get 8.5 up and running it wanted you to install 6.5! Now it’s easy enough to sort, just install 8.5 and then install/update from there from the link sent, can’t remember if you could use the built-in updater on 8.3 tho?

According to the 9.9.0 installation abort notice, you must have 8.5 successfully installed to use the updater. I thought I might try updating the windows .Net framework, since it mentions that as part of the reason, but not sure that will work. Then at the end the notice says 8.5 or greater, but I think since 9.9.0 is actually “greater” and doesn’t work, I better use 8.5. It’s all waaaay to technical for me LOL, but it does mention the root cause as inability to migrate patient base and upgrade .net framework simultaneously.

Yeah .NET Framework is a known issue, I’ve had and a few others have come up against it a few times in the past, different software as well, use the 8.5 and then install 9.2 instead of trying to go straight into 9.9.0 if your still having issues.

All is well I have updated all the way to the 9.9 now. Thanks for the help. I wonder if the 9.9 would have been stalled if I would have uninstalled the 8.3 butThat’s for somebody else to try I’m not going back lol

I know this is old thread but im in need of a copy of 8.5 as i cant install 9 without and currently running 8.3, update manager dosent work, cant seem to find a version of 8.5 anywhere online. Can anybody help?

Welcome to the forum, yeah it’s a pain having to do it like this, if I recall you couldn’t use 8.5 without having 6.5 installed first, but anyways what models are you programming.

I was planning on programing styletto 7AX, i have the 9.12 software just wont install, message says need 8.5, current version installed is 8.3 which i used to program my current cellion 7PX aids. I might have 6.5 on CD somewhere, so ill have a look and see if installing that first helps, but not sure that would even load on windows 10?

Great, now if only i could find 8.5. Ive been programming myself for close to 10yrs and always been able to find the software needed when ever i get new ears, this time is proving more difficult always use to be repositorys online with the downloads avalible or hardcopys for sale on ebay but just cant locate 8.5 anywhere. So anoying 9 wont install without it. Guess im stuck using my old ears for now :frowning:
