Signia makes mini earmolds
That’s great news. Are they made of acrylic?
I’m looking for titanium earmolds.
Have you heard of a manufacturer that makes them in the US?
Microsonic has removed its Titanium page and when I contacted them they said they don’t have a partner in my area.
However, their brochure is still available.

Yes acrylic.
Unfortunately I’m not aware of any US manufacturer. The ones I have were made by Hörluchs from Germany.

Your review could have been written by me! Everything from wearing S1’s to wearing Bose HA ,and I felt the same way about them. Been wearing hearing aids for about 15 years and I also have a moderately severe hearing loss. Had to laugh I have the same 2 questions , too loud when you first put them on and do they have a . Have not called Sony yet. With exception of not having a TV streamer, these Sony’s are every pit and maybe better than by Phonak Lumity HA that I also own. And yes the Sony’s are much better in wind! Great review!!

I just got a pair of Sony CRE-C20 aids and really like them so far. I wore Oticon Nera2 and Signia Silk 1X previously. The Sony’s work a lot better than the Silk 1X. I suspect the Sony’s use the Ix platform and a higher technology grade than the Silk 1X aids. Rechargable feature is also nice. The rechargable aids have a higher water/dust resistance than battery powered aids also.

Thanks, good review! Planning to go for based (pricey) or Sony, sony HA still have not entered our market here.
Before it was mild to moderate, now i have crossed moderate loss. I have used siemens nitro 16, Siemens single ear model (dont know name), Sonic flip 80 .
Since 2022 am using Airpods Pro as hearing aids, based on speech quality it did some good job coming from older HAs. With Airpods Pro i dont have to lip read. But it only compensates around 7ft distance. And difficult while in group discussion. Not focused on voice as precription hearing aids, sounds smooth and round (also made for music in mind)
Can you tell us your experience :
In quiet situation listening to a person from 10ft.
Listening to group discussion 7ft radius or 12 people sitting in circle in open field along with often vehicle noise & horn at a distance of 50ft+, does this interfere with speech?
Talking with pillon rider while riding 2 wheeler with wind noise handling.
Talking in windy situation where speech volume lowers in Airpods Pro.
I have attached my , Do you think Sony CRE E-10 willl benefit my hearing loss? Please let me know. Thanks

The Sonys are not powerful enough for you and, I don’t think any are powerful enough for you (optimally ).
Attached is the fitting range for the Signia Active (which is the Rx version of the Sony). As you can see , they are not powerful enough.
Your hearing loss is classified as moderately severe. OTC devices are for mild to moderate hearing loss (better than 45/50dB)

Thanks. But while inputting your if u increase 10db gains on each frequency, do we gain 10db overall volume?
That image link is not opening.

It not works in that easy way. Putting in the ear without turning it on causes earplug effect. The OTC device have to be powerful enough to overcome that earplug effect and then adding some gain to overcome hearing loss.

@OcramSagev Now the image opened, thanks for your suggestions, fitting range of signia active pro is 5db lower in 250hz & 500hz, my loss is 60db 250hz & 500hz.
Is there a webpage where i can see fitting range of all or few ?

It’s not just the 5dB difference, the cre-e10 only comes with 5 sound profiles as shown below . Their hearing test will select one of the gain curves. None of these curves are “strong” enough for you.
You are looking at hearing aids like they are a music equalizer and they don’t work that way, the gains are not linear and there are other features/characteristics involved .
You don’t have mild hearing loss so, the are not going to be optimal for you. All the hearing aid manufactures (at least the prescription ones ) publish their receiver specs on their web sites . You can “google” “Phonak Infinio frequency range” for example and, that will show you what you are asking for.

Thank you very much for guiding me. I was using before AirPods Pro. Now the technology has improved, am going back to Rx HAs.

yeah the problems is… with this kind of money (mabe double let’s face it) you can get prescription hearing aids. Way better! The Sony are too expensive for what they can do. Same the Signia.

get professional hearing aids and set them up with an audiologist. I have the same bass loss problem and managing bass loss is the most difficult. most of these hearing aids are focusing on frequencies middle and high because usually people when they go deaf they loose those frequencies. I recommend you to try ReSound Savi. I also can’t afford exepensive toys but The ReSound Savi in my country is under 1000 Euro (for each ear) and I tried them and they are quite good! Have the same tech as their last flagsip. Either you are buying flagsihp generation behind or their Savi line is the same. They have Bluetooth LE which is very important and they are comming in all kind of flavors. You should check them out. They are on my basket list.
