Newbie and Genie 2 Software

Hi all,

I receive my Noah device on Saturday and had a few very basic question about how I transfer information with my , who is supportive of my doing my own programming since I live 1.5 hours from her office.

Should I ask her to export my Genie client file into an .nhax format and then import that file into my Genie software?

Or is better to have my Noah / Genie environment read the current settings on my Real 1s and then create my own client file from the readings – assuming that this is possible.

Any advice on this initial step is appreciated.

Also, when I’ve made changes and want my HCP to have these changes, should I give her an updated .nhax file or let her read in the changes via Noah / Genie on her side?

Lastly, I want to make sure I can always go back to a known good starting point in case I make mistakes in my programming at home. If I always have a good, working .nhax file for my Real 1s, can I just import it into my client record and any mistakes I’ve made in the programming will be overwritten with the good .nhax file?

There’s no need to save a export file, just save the settings as a client in genie, and then make a new client and use this for your project.

Just let your audiologist read and save directly from your .

No need for doing it this way, you make two clients up in genie, one to save your original audiology settings and one for your DIY projects, simple as that
Of course you can if wanted as another “back up” option, is save the export file to your desktop or put it on a flash drive.
