MyPhonak App - renamed programs revert to original
54 replies3.8k viewsLast reply
I have Lumity l70r and an android phone. I changed a program name to an icon the day this thread appeared and it hasn’t changed even after my aud had me reinstall myPhonak to try and recover another program I deleted. Once the ha were reconnected to the app everything came back the way it was sans the deleted program.

Just to be clear, was it one of the Target/Audiologist programs, such as “Automatic”?
Those are the ones we are referring to in this thread.
(Any user made and saved programs DO stay changed.)

Been months since I have changed the descriptions and they’re so till there, even after an Audi visit.

Just now, the only one that the application that doesn’t let me do any name mods is the automatic one, all the others I can.

Good to know!
The only causal relationship that I think might be happening is when I go in and out of Bluetooth such as when I stream music. YMMV.

Just a general comment- the Phonak app is imho intended mostly for the run-in phase, to inform how the HA is to be configured in Target. Once that is properly done you don’t really need to ever look at the app again, all should be automated. (And doing things in Target yourself is the fastest way to get there).

I agree with you in principle. I have “calm situation” as my startup program - which is modified based on a number of things in Target. There are however times when I want to stay in the Music program or in the Car program and not chop and change around which I find distracting.

We are in November of 2025. I reported this issue to Sonova back in 2023. Two hearing aid models and one mobile phone ago.
Now, with I90 Ultras, iPhone 15 Pro, IOS 26.1 - the ISSUE STILL PERSISTS.
I realize this isn’t the end of the world or a high priority for anyone. Just seems like an easy fix for something that would help in the area of excellence.
I have a case number on this issue now spanning multiple years and sent an update email to Sonova directly. Can’t tell if they read it or not - they have stopped responding.
If anyone still cares about it on this forum, please send them a direct communication as well. Like many Customer Service centers they deny ever hearing about it from anyone else on the planet.
