I use a Moldex N95 disposable face mask which has a strap that goes around the back of the head instead of straps that go around the ears.
Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve found the3M n95 masks difficult to use.

Additionally, the shape and fit of the Moldex mask is very comfortable as they are an industrial worker’s product designed to be worn all day.
And they come in multiple sizes.

Your comment on the coincidental scuba diving leans toward conductive hearing loss. With that said, you would be good to go to an ear, nose and throat specialist and at the very least ask for a try of tubes in your ears.
No.
Presumably the OP has already made their decision at this point, has their hearing aids and has figured out the stethoscope thing.
But no, tubes are not indicated for this hearing loss, they won’t make things better, and they are not just something you go try.

Thanks, I wasn’t aware Costco’s hearing aids don’t come with any tinnitus masking. I never checked but it makes me wonder if the primary distributors of hearing aids, the “Big Names” have any such masking features.

It’s not true, they do have just like the original brand, but Costco just refuse to set this up, that’s all it is.

ALWAYS Thank you for giving me another reason other than being financially not able to engage in scuba diving. I do like to go swimming but hadn’t the capability of pursuing scuba lessons.
