Costco to get Jabra Enhance Pro 20

I agree. This is one reason why reviews of aids should be taken with a grain of salt. The reader of the review has no idea how well or ill the aids have been programmed. And proper fitting is essential for performance. AND, it almost always takes several sessions to get things properly dialed in.
One would think that transferring the same settings from one brand of aid to another would work. The fact that Venturer couldn’t hear the turn signal, or his wife, with new aids shows that somehow, more is involved. Jabras are a good aid. Most brands are very good. I’m certain they can be programmed to resolve the turn signal/wife hearing issues. After that, a more fair comparison can be made.

Has anyone had any actual experience in pairing Jabra Enhance Pro 20s with a very late model Android phone (Pixel 8 Pro for me) using Bluetooth Low Energy Audio. I’m wondering if a phone call can be hands free (speak into the microphones vs the phone mic) and if the phone call sound goes to both ears.
The Jabra support page for the EP 20 indicates hands free is only for iPhones as if now and a Dr. Cliff review of the Resound Nexia indicated the same limitation as of the end of October.

I have been trialing the Jabra enhanced pro 10s for three months and plan to trade them in for the 20s.
The 10s with telcoil were fatter, is this also true of the 20s? Telcoil is important to me but I didn’t get it because of the extra bulk. Can you shed some light on this?

Yeah it goes to show just how polished is, is hit and miss, mind you I can’t see why this can’t be implemented with the new standard, or regardless is it android ( google) that is holding this up?

Theoretically with the Jabra Enhance Pro 20 and Pixel 8 it would be , not . I don’t think we have reports from anybody though.

Not sure this is a good statement.
Issues with both at times.
Right now there is a thread going on the iPhone 15 pro that is having big issues with phone calls and streaming.
I just got a phone with Android 14 and the Bluetooth phone calls and TV streamer are the best I have dealt with.
I am looking forward to Bluetooth to catch on. It just might be the best of all.

True I’m not having any issues with my resound ones and android 12, but a number of people are, as for iPhone it’s Apple that is causing issues with the latest updates, I’m sure is gonna make all this redundant.

FYI:
I see the Resound Multi Mic new for sale on two listings on Amazon for around $200. Reading the reviews suggests that some purchasers who returned the product simply failed to read the setup instructions by app.

I’d be very (pleasantly) surprised if worked in a practical sense with that hardware combination right now. I’d be resigned to starting off with . It would be nice if someone like @Andy_Bellavia with his contacts at Resound could get some clarity on this. It may be down to the OS rather than the hearing aid at this point though.

to philbob57: I had read here and other sites that the Jabras were better & clearer than Oticon/ Phillips but for me it has not been the case. I have played around with these Jabras all week but my DW says Just take them back and stick with the Phillips. The huh? factor is less with the 9040’s. I had the 100 recievers put on the Phillips an that helped, but and it is a kinda big one the Phillips are bigger with the rechargeable battery as well as heavier. Mabey I’ll get used to it. When I wear my glasses it makes them hurt even quicker since there is limited space back there. The Jabras are a lot smaller and lighter.

Where have you read that? Resound/Jabra is good technology - sure. It has a great app and brilliant connectivity to iPhones etc, but superior to Oticon? That is a stretch. I have never seen any anecdotal reports claiming that.

Have you gone back and had your Jabras re-fitted? It’s impossible to evaluate aids until they’ve been properly fitted, and that may take a few attempts. (I’m sure that you know this.)

The fine print at the bottom of the Jabra page says “*Jabra Enhance Pro 20 hands-free calls are compatible with iPhone 11 or later…” which means it supports just like the Enhance Pro 10, adding and as well.
LE Audio is the new Bluetooth standard. As a standard, one has to go through a rigorous qualification procedure with Bluetooth SIG before being able to claim LE Audio compatibility (unlike the proprietary systems & MFi.) Therefore the Pro 20 will also work with any LE Audio compatible device just the same way I can connect my Phonaks to any device with Bluetooth classic. - PC, iPad, and Android phone all with equal facility. @MDB

If I get a Pixel 8 Pro and Jabra Enhance Pro 20 aids in the next couple of weeks (which is possible) will I be using or as my daily driver? That’s what I’m wondering. The Jabra connectivity support pages mention LE Audio in a footnote only. What are audiologists advising their clients? ASHA would do me for now but I’m curious where we’re up to. Yes, it’s probably more a question about phones than hearing aids. I haven’t even seen Android 14 yet. I can live without handsfree calling.

Android 14 is out. Maybe not where you are??
As for me, I am looking forward to getting hands free phone again. Hoping Resound/Cochlear make it so.

Well, I don’t get out much
.
Sure, I want hands-free calls and automatically streamed audio from any tv I walk past and airport announcements direct to my aids and a table top microphone that works with any brand of hearing aids. I want these things now (but I probably won’t get them).

I’ve had the same question as you and while I’ve found clues I haven’t found a definitive answer. Here is how I posed the question:

Last week I called Jabra tech support and they couldn’t give me a definitive answer (as of now). They said that ‘in theory’ it should work but it’s so new that there may be issues. Hands free phone calls are near the top of my priority list and I really want the answer before I get the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s. I’ll be calling Jabra again tomorrow to see if they have an updated answer, but I’m really hoping that someone hear has tried the Pixel/Jabra combo.
