Nice find. Interesting. Two people on that thread claimed lower range. One claimed they're identical devices.
Maybe someone with the Sonova one could provide the FCC ID. The one I have is KWC-TVCONNECTV2.

It's nonsense they're exactly the same, just like the hearing aids, to think that Sonova would make a "special" model with less range is not pauseable, like why would they even consider it, there's no purpose?
Plus the Unitron, Hansaton, are the same connecter, so no sense in having different chips for each.

I understand your point of view. But in the case of Demat (Oticon, Bernafon, or Philips), they’re locked by firmware, so they aren’t compatible with each other even though they use the same electronics.
From what I’ve found out, Sonova has a completely different philosophy and makes its accessories compatible across the different brands it manufactures.
Anyway, I’ve ordered one from Costco to try out, and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Yes I'm aware of the firmware difference, actually funny thing is Signia/Rexton used same connecter StreamLine that Demat supplied for their brand's (must be a cheap parts bin device!)

The question started out talking about range, not interchangeability. The manuals for each say 50'.
I would bet they're each interchangeable with all Phonak and related brands (that can use a TVC of course).

So I went to Costco and asked if they had any in stock. No. But they did have a couple sitting there waiting to be picked up. So they let me look at one. Easy Line packaging. Opened it up and looked at the FCC ID and it was identical. All the markings underneath were the same as what I have.
I don't know about the two claims of different range. I doubt it.

I've got three v2 Phonak TV streamers that I've accumulated over time, starting with the KS9 from Costco and ending with the I90 Spheres that I currently wear. One thing that I noticed when I got my Spheres was that connection range of the TV streamer increased significantly because the I90s have stronger antennas in them.

Ah! Of course! The other way around. It's better reception by the aids, not worse transmission of the TVC.
Thanks for those observations.
