This is interesting, and helpful. Do you have them setup in Target as two seperate customers?

No same client. I just loaded client and connected the new Aid.
It warns you the serial number isn’t the same but just click okay and then it all works.

Brilliant Ruth, saves a lot of time, and effort, thank you very much for this information
Very, very nifty, if you want a set of duplicate aids, or indeed a single aid… It never ceases to amaze me, what excellent workaround’s, we get on here
You are indeed a wonderful asset @Zebras

I’ll see if the App will read all 3 Aids, 2 at a time at some point today. ![]()

Excellent stuff @Baltazard… Any improvement for those in the profound thresholds, is a blessing… Thank you for that update

I only let myself leave just 2 solutions here: how to customize mask program in hearing aids (feat. myPhonak app) - YouTube And in audi: https://www.phonakpro.com/content/dam/phonakpro/gc_hq/en/resources/back_to_business/documents/PH_Fitting_Guide_masking_dilemma_210x297_EN_V1.00.pdf

Thanks.
My experience was a year ago.
Admitting ward. I heard conversations with clarity 25 feet behind me. I was on my back with a mask on. Everyone had masks on. Ontario. CAnada. Yes in hospital all wore masks
Surgeon was at my feet and I couldn’t understand a word. Paradise P90Rs on.

Yeah, I remeber the thread you initiated.
By the way, I have my trebles (2k and above) go beyond feedback treshold to make exact adjustment (the Target give a possibility to overrun it) and this was bull’s-eye. I also have no feedback despite this adjustment.

I can’t use Target. However, I have adjusted using myPhonak
The mask program from Phonak adjusts mid and treble frequencies. It’s very similar to the Clarity button on myPhonak
My hearing aids are somewhat better now
The dispensing firms hearing tests were awful. 10-20 off
He specified the wrong domes
He didn’t set the left hearing aid to talk to the right.
My Practitioner is doing much better.
I’ll be back
Edit.
I don’t know how to make further improvements.
A concern. My hearing aids were awarded due to exposure to loud noise at work. Labour Ministry (guvmint) restricts what they pay for.
If my hearing changes they pay.
I haven’t had yet. I don’t know if it would make a difference

I haven’t had REM yet. I don’t know if it would make a difference
I have first time after almost 20 years of using hearing aids. With Phonak earmold with AOV (acoustically optimized venting basen on most recent ) it made a HUGE difference.
In the chart below the shorter column, the better (the grey, after REM):
You may watch this clip (from this moment specifically about REM, but the whole is worth of attention):

I have had 3 Audis All used .
The last one consistently used REM. Yet I couldn’t understand what was said. He helped by providing incentive to find someone new
I’m very lucky being in the new practitioners care.
Same hearing aids work much better now. They are provided to me by workman’s compensation. I haven’t had REM yet. He provided a hearing test as soon as he could. His test showed 10-20 worse hearing than the previous tests had shown.
I recently saw Dr Cliffs video where he disclosed how much he charges to sort out hearing aid setup of hearing aids that were not set up properly by someone else. He works hard and the cost he charges is high because of that
We see the best hearing care professionals here. They share so much and I’m very grateful.

So, after appointment with the newest audiologist you are satisfied with your Paradises? And the description on your profile is after that? Glad to read about improvement:)
When you have the last appointment?

Full story. I don’t mean to bore others.
I’ve made gains.
I’m lucky the new hearing aid practitioner took me on. He had manufacturing skills. I have workman’s compensation. I can get new hearing aids in 3+ years. (5 yr cycle) WSIB will not provide new hearing aids until then.
WSIB Ontario will pay for service if my hearing changes. Otherwise appointments are about every six months. That’s why I had to wait 6 months for a new hearing test. There’s been no . I don’t know what to make of that
When I switched to him he used my from the dispensing Audi. I asked him what he found because I heard better.
Paradise ha were not connected. Right and left.
wrong domes were specified
Hearing aid volume had been reduced by old Audi because my hearing had improved. Yeah sure
After the new hearing test by my hearing aid practitioner my hearing was 10 to 20 worse than the Audi’s hearing test! Skilled practitioner and he uses brand new equipment. (The dispensing Audi couldn’t pair with my hearing aids unless my phone was turned off. He had to call Phonak so they would help him pair my phone with the hearing aids he provided for me)
Had two follow up tests after that with my new practitioners wonderful hearing test.
Observation. I hated my Paradise P90 hearing aids while I was a patient of the dispensing. Audi. I couldn’t hear for a year and a half.
I hate the rechargeable batteries. I had no say in them. The Audi handed the aids to me and set them up. I had no choice.
Trying to be fair, It’s a miracle he got them. They solved a safety problem at work. I couldn’t hear fast noisy equipment overtaking me at work. I was almost hit a number of times. My previous ha s were 2-1/2 years old
I treated him with respect until I learned he had reduced volume and erased all the custom programs on my hearing aids during my last appointment. He did a quick fit.
Now with this hearing aid practitioner I can hear so much better. Yet I learned here that real ear measures are necessary. He hasn’t done REM
Would I recommend my dispensing Audi?
NO WAY. Iused to and that was a mistake.
Would I recommend Paradise Audeo p90. I’d think twice. I want to hear better in noise. Lumity. Yes maybe. I am impressed with talk here about Oticon and Lumity.
My next appointment will be in about 5 months. Hope this helps.
EDIT I apologize for the rant. My dispensing audiologist provided hearing aids that didnt work. I’ve provided my history so readers may understand. We all have different hearing issues. Some of us live in other nations where things are done differently. And I have workman’s compensation and am very lucky for that. As a taxpayer I’m grateful they control costs.

This is a thread for the Phonak Naida’s, so I will add my recent trial experience for the Naida L90 UP. A couple of months ago I trialed the Oticon Xceed without a successful conclusion. My current trial with the Phonaks is going much better after a couple of weeks and I will likely keep them. My first observation comparing the two is that the Phonak app actually works and has allowed me to adjust settings and improve the performance. I am now doing well with my default program on the Phonaks with noticeably increased word recognition. Noisy environments also seem better, although my testing here is limited. Streaming music (which I use frequently) is very good. I will soon get a tv connector and am guessing it will also work well.
The only area of difficulty I am having is hearing my passenger (wife) while driving at freeway speeds. My car is reasonably quiet, but I can’t find a combination of app adjustments that work yet. I will be working with my Audiologist to see if we can improve here. Ultimately, I may buy a Roger device for the car and restaurants.
I’m not sure that the amount I am paying for the new Phonaks is proportional to the increase in my hearing ability, but I have resolved that if I can afford it, I will pay to make improvements. My fear at present is that the HA manufacturers are not producing many new technology ultra-power options for profound hearing loss. Oh well, at my age, I won’t need many more upgrades
.

My brother too, has the same issue, he struggles to hear/understand while driving.
Ultimately, I may buy a Roger device for the car and restaurants.
He did use roger on/clip-on mic with limited success, maybe he hasn’t done it properly.
@kevels55 has had a good success with roger devices in car/restaurant.
Looking forward for your feedback ![]()

Hi @DaveL
Just some comments from your history, that may help, or explain, what may have happened, and what I “may” have learnt, on my journey. Of course, I now have access to the target software. Your story doesn’t bore me at all ![]()
There’s been no REM. I don’t know what to make of that
I’ve never had , except the simulated version in Target. This did not help me at all.
The dispensing Audi couldn’t pair with my hearing aids unless my phone was turned off.
This is standard, or at least turn Bluetooth off on the phone. At home, when using Target, I have to switch off Bluetooth on nearby devices, and switch off the TV Connector, I also make sure my backup aids and Roger devices are turned off too, or the aids will struggle to connect.
and erased all the custom programs on my hearing aids during my last appointment. He did a quick fit.
If the custom programs were made in the app, they’re automatically deleted with a fitting change. I doubt he was being vindictive, to be fair. The quick fit is generally awful for my (similar) hearing loss.
Dave, I see your issues with Phonak Paradise, “may” be helped by Lumity, but I think a couple of changes in Target could solve most problems with your P90s.
To Phonak, these 2 things are conflicts, as “2” stops “1” from working. “1” uses beamforming, which takes away what it believes is background noise. This could be traffic about to run you over - “2”. I have all my settings at 360⁰ now, as beamforming takes away important stuff, including nature sounds. The world has become a noisier place but I’m trying to re-learn how to pick out the sounds I want to hear. I understand Oticon has the 360⁰ approach, but haven’t tried them.
Good luck
Peter
