Phonak Lumity Naida 90 UP BTE Review

Nadia M-SP ist a bit smaller than the UP.

On the Phonak website ( link above ) you can find the link to the fitting ranges , and the SP is limited to 80dB in the range between 125H to 1kH.

Thank you. Not being pedantic, but I think the PR is limited to 80dB. It looks like the SP goes down to 100dB. Or am I wrong?

You are correct. Sorry I mixed it up with the PR.

The Naida L-SP release were a view weeks ago.

my first hearing aid did that It was 20 years ago I was trying to say that way back moulds were taken to shape my in the ear canal Widex hearing i had back thecurrent hearing aids are ok with Power Domes

Good news. Specsavers have ordered the Naida Lumity SP in addition to the UP. I will be able to trial both and see what my preference is. Will update soon.

Thank you. Will post pictures. I think the dimensions are in the post above, in the product specs for the Naida. The SP is a few mm smaller. T.b.h I was a bit nervous about going from RIC back to a really chunky BTE, but my wife tells me that the BTE isn’t any more noticeable than the RIC and I can see it looks pretty sleek.

Not my hearing aids. They belong to WSIB. Workman’s Comp.
I had two sets of Phonaks that I said WTF? When I got them. Two Audis.

I have a hearing instrument specialist now that’s part way there. Biggest gain? Proper hearing test. I don’t want to tick him off. Or put him at risk. So I don’t know how to make improvements from here.

I hear about word scores being trash if the test is verbal not recorded. I’ve only had verbal for 20 years.

I know I don’t hear right real world. I know I like high power. I don’t know what’s wrong.

Sorry for the rant. I’m caught in hearing aid h-ll

I’ve read lots of books. And seen countless videos. Why should I have to do this?

Back tuning cars I learned some things

-change one thing at a time. See how it works
-keep it simple stupid
-if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
-if it doesn’t fit get a bigger hammer

I don’t know what’s broke. Don’t know how to fix it

And I don’t want to tick off WSIB

I’m afraid to spend money.

I always believe, laughter is the best policy @DaveL if we can laugh at ourselves, so much the better…We all make mistakes, we all do stupid things, we get angry with ourselves, we get frustrated with our hearing loss… The truth be told, there is always someone worse off than us, we only have to look around, and see this, on this very forum! So, to my way of thinking, take ownership of your hearing loss, it is part of who you are, be grateful you aren’t in that boat, there are many folks around the world, who can’t even feed themselves or their families, never mind afford hearing aids… We are most fortunate to even have access to hearing aids, they might not, be the best, and we might covet better aids, but at least we have something … Cheers Kev

I laugh at myself all the time. Helps me get through the day. I like your joke. In construction the second coat of paint is sometimes the roller in the air.

Every audi has told me how hard WSIB is to work for. And that WSIB requires an incredible amount of clerical work for the audi to be paid. I’m lucky to be part of the program. But I’ve been self employed and learned to pick my clients carefully.

I’m follwing this thread in case I need more powerful hearing aids sometime. Peel Audiology said I needed more powerful hearing aids after they sold me my second set of Phonaks That was 5 years ago. Those hearing aids didn’t work either (couldn’t hear behind.)
