Phonak Lumity Naida 90 UP BTE Review

Hopefully that assumption is correct @Baltazard… I am certain Phonak have something in the pipeline, whether it’s a Sphere version of Naida, is perhaps anyone’s guess… But, we can dream It is maybe a little early to ask, my Phonak friend, whom sometimes gives me, advanced notice of anything “Naida” on the horizon? If previous iterations of Naida are on a similar trajectory, perhaps September/October? Cheers Kev

Yeah @Emile030… Theoretically, it may be possible to connect the Roger Pen 1.1 to a cell phone, then relay this to 2 different aids in your ears… I have all the requirements to do this, unfortunately at the moment, I am struggling with my mental health, severely lacking in any motivation to do anything… Procrastination is my usual excuse, but I believe it’s really down to “SAD” (Seasonal Affective Disorder) I am not a good winter person… Cheers Kev

Sorry to hear that you aren’t good Kev. Have you tried the lamp? Mixed reviews but works for some.
Tempting your curiosity, what exactly did bluetooth do on the pen? Can’t understand how it would be used.

Thank you @michael… We were talking about, several hypothetical situations if someone had 2 different aids, for example, a Lumity in the right ear, and a Marvel in the left… @PeterH has been experimenting with different aids, in an attempt to pair them with each other, it would appear this is possible, if they are the same chipset, ie Marvel to a different Marvel, but he couldn’t pair a Marvel to a Paradise aid… But if either different chipset aid has a Roger X receiver, I believe you might pair both simultaneously to your Roger Pen 1.1 using the Pen as an intermediary device, and then hooking this up to your cell phone, thereby streaming sound into both ears as a workaround… Just a theory! Cheers Kev

Okay, thank you. I have already ordered all the items described in the link; they are all the same price (slightly lower now due to the currency exchange rate).

Can’t wait for them!

Did you get free customs and shipping to Poland?

You mean tariffs? I don’t know yet. I ordered a hearing aid that way for the first time in my life. I think there will be no tariff because I ordered only one hearing aid for one ear, so it’s obvious that I didn’t buy it for resale.

Even when customs will be added, I assume my order will still be worthwhile…

I ordered and paid on February 19. It will be shipped very soon. However, I haven’t received any new shipping information.

Aaaand… Just received greetings from Glasgow!

Fun fact: until now, I associated Glasgow mainly with one character from my childhood comics and later with the goalkeeper Artur Boruc from Celtic.
(I do not intend to offend anyone; I apologize if I have said something inappropriate).

Oor Wullie? I’m guessing.

All the best Kev.
I taught skiing 35 years. Never had Seasonal Allergy Disorder.

Now I’m not skiing at all I have it too. So if I find a cure for mine I’ll pass it on

Thank you @danka I am seriously considering a pair of blue & white light, SAD therapy glasses, expensive as some of them are! It never rains, but it pours, somewhat like my nose at present, it’s running like a stream, it doesn’t appear to get any better, if anything it gets progressively worse, viral flu I believe, I have had this, for over a week, my wife Elspeth kindly gave me this virus As for the Sun, and Thailand, a couple of good friends live & work there, a wonderful country, one of them has been there for over 30 years! Take care, cheers Kev

Kevels - Im impressed by your knowledge and experiments with Roger devices.

I do have two Roger pens with me that was funded by AtW in 2014. i may tempted to buy Clip on Mic via Ebay. Although, Im not sure how two pens will works with clip on mic.

My experience with Roger pens on a table mode, it cuts off when or there is delay when other person is talking when both roger pens are connected.

It may only works when a person is wearing rather than a table mode.

Does this Clip on improves the ‘extend range?’

Im trying to resolve my problems at work, and I am keen to get roger pens working.

To be honest @Sara82, I rarely use the Roger Pen nowadays, occasionally I might use the Clip On Mic, maybe once a month, or usually longer, I do carry it with me though, but in most instances, I don’t use it, I usually get bye with lip reading… Roger Table Mic 2, is usual my weapon of choice, if I specifically want to hear someone, the clarity is pristine, I have 3 of these, all bought cheaply, 2 via eBay, and one on here… Table Mic 2, can be linked, unlike the Pen, and Clip on Mic, which can’t be linked… Table Mic 2, is eye watering expensive, if purchased new!!! Cheers Kev
