Fair enough Mike. In a monthly meeting, a man sat to my left is constantly clicking his pen, or shuffling. I ‘switch him off’ in the App. I can still hear him, but just not as loud.

Hi Kev, its me again.
I see that you are wearing Nadia Lumity . I am thinking of trialling with Nadia Lumity HA with Audiogical Sciene which they are offering 60 days trial.
In term with your Roger on? Does it have to be Roger on ‘in’ as I understand that Nadia Lumity HA is incorporated with RogerDirect. I am sorry with all the Q! Im trying to understand with medically terminology within audiology environment .
I do have a roger pen which was funded by ATW in 2014, and Im wondering whether they will work with Nadia Lumity?
It is true that there is no Cros HA that compatibility with Nadia Lumtiy?
Your reply is much appreciated.

Hello @Sara82 they do have built in Roger receivers, as do most Phonak Hearing Aids since around 2019, the problem is, it’s a corporate con, Phonak kind of inadvertently neglects to tell you these built in receivers need to be activated with a license or licenses, there are 2 license slots in each aid, either a Roger type 02 license (which works with all Roger ’s) or a type 03 license, that works with the majority of Roger Assistive Listening Devices… Any Roger ALD, with the “iN” have onboard licenses, which can be transferred to both aids, and subsequently removed and transferred to a different set of aids, and vice versa… Fortunately, it would appear, Phonak is now making all their new version 3 Roger ALD’s with unlimited type 02 licenses, so if you have more than one set of aids, you can activate them all individually, without having to add/remove… It all sounds very complicated, it’s fairly simple once you get your head around it, IMO, it is in actual fact it’s a fairly simple way to con folk out of their hard earned cash… Hopefully, Phonak have seen the error of their ways, from their despicable actions of trying to fleece hearing aid users!!! These Licences if you bought the actual physical receivers were around £350 for type 03, and around £500 for 02, EACH!!! And all they are is basically a line of code… I hope this post helps to clarify Sara? Cheers Kev ![]()

Hello Sara, It will if it is an actual physical Roger X receiver, and I assume you got it fairly recently from Access to Work, so they will not be outdated… Your Audiologist will have a Roger X Installer, if they deal with Phonak regularly, they will remove the Licenses from the old aids (Individually) back into the Roger X receivers, then reinstall them into the new aids, again this is done individually… It will only take about 5 minutes to do the transfer. I have my own Roger X Installer, I scoured the Internet about 4 years ago or so, eventually I got one from South Korea, a rare find, I have several sets of Roger Type 02 and Type 03 receivers, most were acquired fairly cheaply from eBay… I also have a couple of Roger Select iN’s, there is a tutorial on here to get extra licenses from Roger iN’s, if my memory serves me correctly, 10 licenses can be winkled out of the older Roger iN, if you know the procedure… Cheers Kev ![]()

No WH, for some unknown reason , Phonak from what I have gleaned/read, are making their new Roger iN’s with Type 02 licenses, their latest Roger On iN 3 for instance, and Table Mic 3 is the same, both, have unlimited licenses, which isn’t like Phonak to be giving away freebie’s, but the skeptic in me says, perhaps the advent of , has forced their hand? Cheers Kev :

believe the Table Mic 3 is out already @Bimodal_user, Cheers Kev
Ah, yes, my bad. I was so disappointed by the relative lack of development in version 3 that I subconsciously assumed there would be no new lineup for me. ![]()

Download “Roger Upgrader” from Phonak website. Connect them via a USB or USB-C head to the computer and you can see the licenses in your assisted Roger device.

Looks likes the advent of is changing the universal connectivity to sound without having to buy the pricey receivers.

I failed to mention I also got a neckloop i think reciever 03 (i need to check). Provided that the lumity nadia has got t coil installed. Then this will be able to connect Roger pen. Or investing 2nd hand roger on. And i will ask work to apply table mics in via AtW.
Gosh, I didn’t realised that Phonak has make everyone even more complicated. So much headache.

Phonak Target 9.1 with TargetMatch 2.0 | Audiology Blog2
I’ve just discovered that there is a function in the Target software to check the compatibility of different models of Phonak hearing aids.

My friend upgraded with the help of eBay from her NHS Phonak Naida M70 SP to the Phonak Sky L70 SP.
I programmed them for her.
She says that AutoSense is much improved and over all a much better Aid.

Provided that the lumity nadia has got t coil installed.
Ask the audiologist to install the T Coil program and then you’ll be fine.
Did you get the Naida Lumity UP at all?

Zebras,
How did you find your Lumity Phonak? You prefer Oction Xceed than Phonak Lumity.
Only Im askg is because I find Phonak Lumity sounds is very poor, and Im thinking giving Oticon Xceed few tweaks via Genie software.
