If you haven’t already Sara, try NAL NL2 fitting formula, via the Naida Lumity’s, it takes a bit of getting used too… It took me approximately a month to acclimatise, after which, I will choose no other, well apart from NAL NL3, which is imminently about to be released… Good luck, cheers Kev :wink:

There is time needed for new sounds. After my last minor adjustmentsI had to get used to for 2-3 weeks. It’s normal quite as rehabilitation a muscle that has not been used for a long time.

I never tried the Lumity as my hearing declined.

I went from Naida P30 and P70 UP to Oticon Xceed.

Oticon gives me more gain using the same fitting formula as Phonak. Phonak gives me less gain. Not sure why.

I understand that Oticon Xceed claim to be the most powerful Aid but this is what I found when playing with the software.

If I put a flat 70dB on both Oticon and Phonak software and used NAL 2 on both softwares, Oticon still have me more gain over Phonak.

It makes no sense to me why Oticon gives more gain no matter what the audiogram is.

I truly believe that Oction is better than Phonak. I find that my brain adapts well to Oction.

I am quite disappointed with the Phonak Lumity.

It’s time for me to return the Phonak Lumity and make adjustments to the Oction Xceed Play 1 using Genie software.

I have the Roger on v 3. Am I correct in thinking that I need the Roger Receiver 02 (easy gain) and the Roger Installer to connect the Oction Xceed hearing aid in order to use Roger on v 3? My memory is a bit foggy at the moment.

Intent is worth a try, because it provides more gain in higher frequencies.

There are newest technology comparison (Oticon Intent vs. Phonak Audeo Infinio Sphere) out of curiosity (ceteris paribus rule, 2cc coupler): Acoustic input for Oticon Intents: 60 dB [20250509_172316] [20250509_171854] There is a difference, especially in 3-5.5 kHz range. Keep in mind that I compared NOT ultra power . Probably Naida would be better or just Oticon Xceed.

Thanks! It should also be compared to gains in the frequency response graphs. As I can see, Xceed can provide even 50dB gain for 6k, but I don’t know if it is for a 2 cm³ coupler or an artificial ear.

I didn’t know that I would need Oction Edumic to connect Roger on 3.

Since when Reciever 03 incorporated with easy gain.

I know Ive got Reciever 03 at home starting number is 1345 which may be is not associated with easy gain, and it has to be 15XX? Am I right?

Of course, I remember when wearing Danalogic Ambio and were given Roger on 2. It was connected via Multi Mic!
