The office where I work has started placing white noise ‘security’ sound masking devices outside of most offices. These cause my hearing aids to be nearly unusable.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

I was recently a juror at a trial. For the “approach the bench” moments i expected them to use sound masking. They didnt - they just talked quietly. What you describe sounds obnoxious. If you’re in USA and the company is big enough, then Americans with Disabilities Act could help you. Is there a way to reasonably accommodate your situation? At least remove the sound from outside your office if that’s a problem area. Maybe a door instead.

Reviving this topic. Our office building has sound dampening/masking system to prevent voices from carrying. It’s a cubicle style layout, so people talk over the cubes. Needless to say it’s a bit of a nightmare scenario for me since the system causes my hearing aids to battle with this system. I think it even interferes with my mics picking up my voice on Bluetooth calls.
I currently wear the Paradise P90’s. My hope is that the newer Sphere technology will help isolate voices in this environment. Thoughts?

I don't know what's working principle of that systems. If this is a steady-state noise, you can ask your about manual Speech in Car program with possibly modification of directionality. I have Paradise P90-RT as spare. You can try to modify sliders in myPhonak app: noise reduction and Speech Focus.
For trialing:
Every program above has Noise reduction and Speech focus sliders.
Which receiver power do you have and what diameter of vent in your earmolds?
With Infinio Spheres, or better, Eon Spheres you have larger probability to have better hearing not only because of better denoising features, but, the most important, MUCH better SDS 6.0 UP receiver, which is suitable for you.
However, with your loss and for maximum denoising and UP receiver capabilities, you need:
1. deep placed earmold
Without optimizing the basics, my Infinio Sphere was worse than my old Paradise.
You have very decent despite your relatively severe hearing loss, so chances for success are bigger.
For me, Infinio Sphere 90 is life-changing even in quiet situations.
