Resound Nexia continuous issues

I know this is an old topic, but I have Resound Nexia 7’s and ever since my audiologist switched out the external case for the new design with microphone filter, it is very sensitive to moisture and regularly shuts down. The only solution is to put the aids in a dryer for a few hours. I first got the Nexias in November and this was not an issue before the switch

I’m currently using the ReSound Vivia from Omnia. I’ve noticed the same issue with clogged microphone, the same thing that happened with the Quattro. Honestly, I’m glad I skipped over the Nexia. Right now, I’m pairing it with the Nucleus 8 sound processor but it has drawback, Bluetooth streaming support is lacking because cochlear hasn’t added support for bluetooth streaming for the vivia

My 8 months old Jabra Pro20 (Jabra Enhance Pro 20 ()) was having major low volume issues that was progressively getting worse. Costco changed the upper body section of to a two-mic hole version and these have the replaceable mic filters (see above video). Costco gave me a kit to change them that works much like the receiver kit. So far so good.
Will change them every three months. Have no M&RIE, use very low temperature dryer and brush aids nightly. Moisture/water was not this issue but does occur under some conditions, even in a dry climate. More of my related information.

Same problem. I hate this hearing aid. It was just repaired and static static static with minimum sweating. I also have a cochlear implant in the other ear

I think I replied incorrectly. I absolutely hate the resound Nexia. Just got it back from repair. Constant static with minimal sweating. I don’t have the answer but I do hope they find a different company to use with the . When it was being reinsured and I had to use my old hearing aid I had no problems for the 2 weeks but of course I couldn’t steam. Terrible hearing aid in my humble opinion

@Bimodal_user uses a Phonak Sphere with his N8. Maybe he can add some info to this.
