Starkey Edge AI

Yes, and they went too far. My mom is now trialing Oticon Intent because with Starkey she’d be paying for a feature that is so inaccessible that she will never use it. No decision has been made yet though.

It seems to me that if you want Edge AI, you really have to pick the ‘24’ model. Everything else is not really usable.

… and in case anybody from Starkey reads this: my mom decided to go with Oticon.

She found nothing wrong with the Starkeys, but since Edge AI was essentially unusable on the lower technology levels, she would have paid for something she will never use.

Starkey really screwed up with the My Starkey app. The older Thrive app used for the Livio and Evolv aids was much better. Another stupid change is you can’t mute from the main screen anymore. Starkey’s software engineers obviously don’t use what they develop.

I have the Starkey Edge AI
The main screen is the first one, right?
It tells you the program.
I can mute from there.
Just press the the volume symbol to mute.

I don’t have to.
I just tap the volume symbol and they mute.
I also have my programs on the aids itself.
I generally just use the buttons.
